Can someone give me their interpretation of this? Does this mean there is no partial peak on weekends and holidays? TIME PERIODS: Times of the year and times of the day are defined as follows: All Yeareak: 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and Holidays. Partial-Peak: 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, except holidays. Off-Peak: All other hours. HOLIDAYS: “Holidays” for the purposes of this rate schedule are New Year’s Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor I Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. The dates will be those on which the holidays are legally observed.
You tried calling them? That breakdown of when to use the air-conditioner and other things is just too hard for us to keep track of so were still on the same .20c/kwh rate all day thankfully we're still making it under Tier 1 most months.
There are no partial peak rates on weekends. Also a Prime uses 200 kWh per month, 1 charge per day 6.6 kWh x 30 days. Unless you use ~200 kWh above Tier 2. it's not clear cut that that EV-A will save you money. Those peak and partial peak rates really hurt. The rate plan works well for a Nissan Leaf or Tesla that uses more than 200kWh a month but for our PiP and Prime, you have to be careful. NOTE: Weekends and holidays only include Peak (3-7 p.m.) and Off-Peak (all other hours) periods.
EV-A has saved me ~ $50 per month but we follow the guidelines pretty well and have reasonably efficient equipment.
