Three times now on the same stretch of expressway i got a momentary yellow triangle. a beep. and something on the info display so fast i have no idea what the problem is. other more useless information pops up and lingers like the dcc popups. ideas?
this seems similar to a thread a while back. i think it's one of the safety systems, but can't remember.
I searched before posting and came up empty on anything that applied... I'm also assuming its a safety thing... like maybe a car cuts in front of you and you get an alert, and being so used to that traffic I'm not putting the two together. I don't drive with my eyes glued to the dashboard, so its gonna be hard to catch what's up... by the time I look at the display from hearing the beep.. the display is switching back to my normal display. There is no message under the messages display... so it's probably not some kind of system fault.
might be the key fob? change in your pocket obscuring the signal? I've had my key fob not detected, or key fob detected display come on.
Or it could be your window(s) are (is) partially open. I get the yellow triangle, exclamation point icon show up because I have this in my window

Thank you! If there is a message displayed it is gone before I can glance down to look at it... My guess is since it happens in expressway traffic... Its getting confused and it's the pre-colision warning... I am just used to cars cutting in close... that's life on the expressway.
Ok finally caught the message. it wants me to hold onto the sterring wheel but i have both hands on but i get just the message a lot. either it thinks my hands are off or it thinks i havent given good steering inputs. occasionally it puts up the yellow triangle too. usually i have my hands at 2 and 10 oclock. sometimes more twards the bottom. but i also get false positives on lane warnings. we have roads with a line of black sealant inside the lane and sometimes it mistakes that for the lane marker lane keeping and steering are related
Same here, PLUS there are LOTS of times when I hold it VERY gently... such as when in light traffic on a good, straight, four-lane highway or interstate. I've never noticed any such warning....
I probably should have done that as my steering wheeling is peeling the faux leather off on my 8 month old Advanced.
