I've got six Dynam Supermate DC6 chargers that I used to rejuvenate my Prius battery. I bought them all from a reputable hobby shop, so they're all the same and they're all genuine Dynam brand. I also spent quite a bit of money and time building (soldering, shrink wrapping) high quality charging leads using gold plated terminals and heavier gauge silicone insulated wire. In addition to the new leads that I built, all of the chargers include their original boxes and all of the leads/adapters that originally came with them. All told, I've got nearly $350 and quite a bit of time into this setup...but it all worked beautifully and saved me a a couple of grand vs. buying a new battery! This is a complete turn-key cell cycling setup that I no longer need. $200 shipped (to continental US).
Would I need anything extra to power the chargers? I was reading that 12v PC power supplies or a 12v auto battery with a trickle charger is frequently used? Im about to rebuild the battery in my gen 2 prius and am looking for a setup like this.
No, you will not need any additional power supplies. Each charger has its own 120V pigtail. I ran them all on a single power strip without any trouble.
