    Just purchased a 2017 Prius Prime Advanced in Cyber Red.
    Great car with exceptional value.
    $ 3,500.00 from Toyota
    $ 1,000.00 from New York State
    $ 4,500.00 federal tax credit.
    Traded in my 2015 Prius Persona.
    There is no comparison the 2017 is faster, quieter, and gets great gas mileage.
    Averaged 141 MPG on the EV battery only and about 90 MPG overall.
    Only have 175 miles on the odometer.

    Congratulations. When you get a chance, Post your price paid before federal and state discounts to the prices paid thread to help others. Seems like there are better and better deals on the 2017 stock!

    Here in the Midwest, there are no local Toyota incentives. I'm jealous.

    Thought of that, considered it, and decided not to. Probably overly concerned, but I don't like the idea of being at the whim of a stealership, hundreds of miles from home, with no fallback (and they know it).

    I am flying out from Milwaukee WI to Portland Maine to pick up a Prius Prime Advanced. The dealership in Portland has been awesome to work with. I saved about $9,500.00 by buying one this way.

    Toyota surely must know that this is happening... if so, why not offer similar incentives elsewhere and level the market? surely they will get more sales in the mid-west this way!?

    From what I have learned this far dealers can order Primes to have on the lot. But, I don't think any around Wisconsin will do that because they are selling them anyway because people want them. Plus, most people in Wisconsin like AWD vehicles so the dealers focus more on keeping that supply than taking a chance on a Prime.

    I studied this extensively and here’s my two cents. Overall, the Northeast Region ordered too many Primes this year and we’re sitting on an overabundance of stock. That, combined with the end-of-year timeframe for 2017 models, is what’s created the situation where you can get a Prime so heavily discounted in the northeast states. Once the stock levels even out, these good deals will likely go away, which is why I decided so quickly to buy one.

    In other words, it’s all dependent on your regional market and the supply/demand is different where you live.

    Thanks for the info about East Coast availability and the rebate! I am flying to New Jersey from Michigan Tuesday to buy an advanced, with rebate. Can't get one without a long wait in Michigan and no rebate.

    It has all the toys. Dealer stuck to sticker, $34,532, minus $3,500 rebate. This is way better than I can get in Michigan. So I think it was well worth the trip. The car was ordered with wheels locks, matts, etc, which made the sticker a little higher. I wanted those options anyway for the snowy winters.

    It is a deal too good to pass up. My research shows no significant changes for the US 2018 model, so I am buying a 2017 at Tarbox in Providence and driving 11 hours back to NC. Although I already have one 2017 Prime advanced, I was going to sell the wife's 2010 Prius when a 2018 with sunroof became available, but that idea was nixed by Toyota. But at least the new 2017 is the Blizzard Pearl she wanted. Some of the Primes for sale around here have ridiculous dealer paks, including a $500 window tint charge, applique charges, etc. I got $3125 off MSRP of $33215 with $200 doc fee, $20 title prep fee and $24 temp plate fee, for a total of $30,334. There may be an added charge of $100 for not financing the car. The car has door protectors, cargo / mats and wheel locks. I will pick it up in two weeks. We already bought a second charging station, the Siemens VC30GRYU when Costco had it on sale $40 cheaper than Amazon. I will be eligible for the fed tax credit again since my first Prime was purchased in Dec. 2016.
