Rachael, and frighteningly, I have almost as many conversations with/about her as I do about my cat. My boyfriend and I consider Rachael and Roomba our "kids". (though technically Rachael is ALL MINE, baby!)

Well, she started out as *itching Betty, but that didn't stick. Now she is Babbling Babs.

Sheila. Because Sheila doesn't recognize any voice commands - you tell her to change CDs and she turns on FM radio, etc.

Named after the tank in Red vs. Blue that doesn't listen to her driver, goes haywire and starts automatically shooting everything in sight. :p

Fellow PriusChat member Walt has done some browsing of the NAV DVD, and discovered that the voice files have the name "VFJill" (probably for Voice, Female, Jill.) Check out his thread here:

I guess this puts to rest what we should all be calling our Prii. :p

I call her Amelia, after Amelia Earhart. Both of them tend to get a little lost at times.

    "Nagivator"

Sort of a cross between Navigator, Nag, and Aggrovator.

    Or just "The Nav Lady."

Driving a Prius for six weeks now, we had this discussion last weekend. My wife came with the final name. She started at "Christoffel" the patriot saint of travellers and converted this into "Christa", the female counterpart. It is also a normal, common name in the south parts of Holland, preferable pronounced with a not too hard pronounced "Ch".

So our nav. lady is now called Christa !

    Regards,
    Wim.

I like to call her Rhonda from time to time. As in the Beach Boys song, "Help Me, Rhonda!". :D

Mine is named Jane, for the sentient super-computer in the Ender series of novels by Orson Scott Card.

"Carla" seemed the obvious choice for ours!

How about calling her She Who Must Be Obeyed... though you don't have to, of course, and she'll just reroute and start telling you how to drive again.

We decided that the voice sounds like the narrator on Desparate Housewives, so we named her Mary Alice.
