I have a 30 mile commute each way and only have the car for a week so after a full charge at night have about 25 EV miles that I use on roads before and after highways. Tonight I may end up having 5 EV miles or so left when I get home. Is it safe to charge it full again even though there are still EV miles left or should I use them all up before charging. I can only charge the car at home at night so I wouldn't be able to charge again until tomorrow night. I just don't want to mess the battery up.
It might be easier to think of it like your cell phone. Does it damage the battery when you charge with 30% remaining? No, it doesn't damage the battery. It doesn't damage the battery if you never charge at all.
Thanks everyone. I'm a rookie when it comes to having a plug in so didn't want to do the wrong thing.
