I watched my mechanic do the rear struts and he didn't remove the back seat....He took the trunk area apart and the job was done fairly quickly...He charged me $100 (and the shops I called quoted around $250!). The book calls for 2.5 or 3 hours but he did it in about 1 hour. If my memory serves me correctly every single bolt is the same size in the interior, a 10mm I think? And he just zipped each bolt off in a half of one second placing them in magnetic tray....Now if you are turning them by hand that would quadruple the time.
Mostly 10mm and 12mm I use a Milwaukee impact driver with 1/4" sockets and use a pan too. Like I said after taking it apart a few times I'm fast at taking it apart and putting it back together again.
If I had tools, I'd be all over that, I fix this n that around my house, I'm pretty mechanically inclined for a girl. LOL. Not sure I trust myself with a car though.
Hey, hey, hey. Haven't you heard of "Rosie The Riveter?" All the ladies during WWII here in America, essential to the war effort. Russian women digging tank traps and building T-34s and sending them out the door and down the street to the battles, not even time enough to paint them!! I know you can at least change the oil!
