Fantastic deals received by both of you. Looks like we're now seeing discounts off MSRP in the $3000 - $3500 range. That's significantly better than even just a month ago. Keep the information coming, it's more ammo for other purchasers to drive harder for better deals.
Let's hope Toyota also keeps the rebate in place for a while...

Wow, this car is depreciating fast! I thought I negotiated well, but prices now are WAY lower... plus the $4502 discounts from the Feds and additional State discounts of up to $1500 (state dependent)... the depreciation of the car is not looking good for when it's a 3 year old car, especially when there will be 3 year old Tesla-Model 3s to choose from...

And I have all of you to thank for that. Without everyone posting in this thread, one would be scratching their head and wondering just how low they can go. Everyone’s reports here really help paint a picture of the prices in each region. For those that don’t want to barter, they can shop for fair prices. And for those that want the absolute lowest prices, they receive information that helps them push the boundaries to see if that price can go just a little bit lower.

PriusChat is such a great community. It has been a tremendous help to me over the last 11 years.

After driving our 2007 Prius 200,000 miles, I am pleasantly surprised at our fully loaded new Prius Prime Advanced ($28k through CostCo and dealer in Auburn CA).

It would mean that the dealer gave him at least a $5k discount. Unheard of! Congratulations! I really feel lame now.

2018 model year cars are out (not the Prime), so this is likely decreasing prices of the 2017's. I got 20% off of my vette by getting a 2016 in August, right before the 2017 models came out.

As I posted yesterday, I paid $27,360 for an Advanced with All-Weather Mats and Alloy Wheel Locks. If you count Doc Prep fee and Temp License fee, I paid $27,584. By no means is this a competition nor is there any special recognition for how low you can go...it’s just reinforcement that these kind of prices can be had at this point in time, and as always, the location you buy from matters too.

I see a lot of “I overpaid” sentiments and statements of regret, which is silly. If you bought your Prime more than a month ago, don’t sweat it and keep your focus on how much you’ve enjoyed this great vehicle during the time you’ve had it. This market is ever-evolving and there are things completely out of your control when it comes to how prices shift up and down.

The biggest reason prices are dropping so low is it's the end of the year and dealers want to move the 2017 models off the lot to make room for the soon to arrive 2018. Nobody wants to look at a 2017 if there is a 2018 on the next row. Dealers know this and they are going to clear these puppies out. The only thing you can do is make sure you’re happy with your purchase before pulling the trigger. After that, plug in and enjoy the ride!

Mr. BPS, you give very good advice! What people forget is that we who bought a while ago and paid full pop like me, minus the $1000 Toyota rebate have gotten a lot of enjoyment in the interim. Also, the state rebate here in California for example, can significantly reduce the acquisition cost, by as much as $3500 depending on your income. The HOV stickers are also extremely valuable to us out here in Socal. I saved 27 minutes on a 25 mile trip today up to Commerce on the 5Fwy, thanks to the carpool lane!! This has been ongoing since my purchase in February. Don't even mention all the gasoline I've saved since then!! Like is oft repeated in these annals, I love my Prime Advanced!!

Yeah that makes sense, but in CA the manufacturer rebate is $1000 and most dealers discount up to $1000 as well. If you're able to find a better deal in CA, then that's awesome, but the crazy $6k off MSRP deals are found mainly in the Northeast.

You’ve provided some great words of advice for everyone! This is such an enjoyable car and the benefits are immense. I’m envious of those who have been enjoying this car all year!

I have been dreaming a getting a Prius Prime since they 1st came out. As I have written here before, the Midwest is full MRSP plus dealer fees so I really could only "think" of purchasing one.
Well thanks to all the information on Priuschat combined with my own research I fly out from Milwaukee WI to Portland Maine on Friday to pick up my new Prime Advanced and then I drive it home. I really wish I had more time to take a vacation along they way home, but I have be back at work on Monday.
Finally, I would like to say "Thank You" to everyone that has shared their knowledge on this site because that really did provide the impetus that gave me the idea to look outside the Midwest for a Prime. Now, an I comfortable with flying to Maine to buy a car? Heck no! But, sometimes you just have to do your homework and trust your gut.
