Miles vs. Years

    The eternal debate.

    We’re looking at getting our first Prius and have these two options (within our budget):

    2011 Prius 2 with 54,000 miles
    2014 Prius 5 with 114,000 miles

    Both Toyota certified

    Other vitals are similar- price (asking $14k), CARFAX (clean, one owner), etc.

    Any advise/thoughts are greatly appreciated.

    The 2011 would be covered for less than one year. Pursuant to Toyota rules the 2014 cannot be Toyota Certified as the mileage is too high.

    in this case, years don't matter. get the 2011, too many miles on the 2014.

    i would not give 11k for a car with 114k on it

    We went with the 2011, and are quite happy (24 hours into being Prius owners).
