I have two questions here. I have an 06 gen 2 fully loaded. In other gen 2's i believe when you power on the car there are 3 or 4 beeps.. right when it starts. Mine doesnt do that. Also when I begin to drive the doors dont automatically lock when I begin to drive i'm not sure if its supposed to or not but I want to find out. Im just curious if maybe someone could have disabled those two things and if I can restore them some how.
My wife's '07 does a double chirp if the seatbelt is fastened. If it's not fastened, it will beep several time, iirc. I seem to remember that those are configurable. Easy with the Techstream software. Carrista also sells a phone app and an OBDII adapter. Lots and lots of threads on here about both. Someone will probably be along soon with more definitive info about if those can be changed.
Check your owner's manual. In my '16 V I recall there is menu to set automated door locking. Not sure on your other question.
