Just bought a 2013 Prius 2 [sea grass pearl] yesterday. It is stated as a 2 but has the leather seats and leather interior coverings. Can you add accessories and still be a 2 trim or is it misquoted ? [Love that color!]
Congrats on the new purchase!! I think that's a shrewd year to purchase -- sort of the sweet spot where depreciation/condition meets value. You can Google for "VIN decoder" or "VIN lookup." There are a million sites that provide this service. The FREE results will tell you trim level, no need to purchase the more granular reports. Circle back and let us know what you find out! Leather and trim 2 don't exactly add up so it will be interesting to see what you find out.

Johnny Cakes.... It looked to me like a new car.... But the spec's ...Just a tad under 100,000 - fresh tires. clean as a whistle- $9300 2013... I was looking for a 2009 or 2011 for under $10,000 This one's sheet : 1 owner/ no accident,s .. When I filled in all the options .I got plenty 2009's a couple 2011 and this 2013 showed up... Trying all the other sites I could find... 2013 / under 100,000 miles / ... under $10,000 ... I could find ZERO... But strangely enough 1 2014 appeared ..I believe Texas... So I figured it wasnt going to get much lower then this... Now if I can figure out if Fabric means the Fake leather....if so... Some how it got added to a Prius'2' under some kind of condition..Not sure..
After 2011 I believe they no longer offered leather but offered Softex in the level 4 and higher. The heated seats and automatic climate control are also indicative of a level 4 or higher. Excellent that you ran a Carfax. Do let us know what you found. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Some people put leather on aftermarket. Does the smart key system work on only the driver's door, or both front doors and the trunk? Meaning, with the key in your pocket, can you just unlock it by grabbing the handle?
I have a 2012 Prius two silver with light gray soft leather. It is my understanding that they don't come with leather in the Prius two. The previous owner that bought the car new had custom leather put through out. I found this out when took to body shop to get Rosie's after someone broke into my Prius and stole my work iphone
I bought the car saturday and will pick it up hopefully Wednesday....When I do I can answer those questions on the door locks Kramah 313. And when I figure it out I will report CNYhybrid Right now the Prius is not available to me.
