I just posted a video showing all the lights on the new design Prius. I included how the lights illuminate at night.
Very nicely done Jimmy. Your lighting is slightly different from the Euro version at the front as our, what we used to know as side-lights are pin point LEDs in the wrap round plastic of the headlight cluster. Our switch has 3 positions, Auto, Sidelights and Headlights with no Off position for DRLs. The Auto position also activates the headlights when ambient light levels require them. The manual and auto dipping functions are the same as yours, however. Thanks again.
Thanks for the info. It is interesting the differences you mention. I was going to include 3 diagrams of the headlight control switch that Toyota has in the manual; they have two different types for US listed and one for Canada. But my control switch doesn't match any in the manual. So I decided to leave those diagrams out of the video. The best is to hear from owners like yourself that know what is actually on your car in your area. Thanks for sharing the info and for watching the video.
That LED... chevron? arch? is available on Touring and.. maybe Four models? I guess Two/Two Eco and Three don't have it?
Our DRLs are in the triangle, below where your parking lights are (same on your trim 4 IIRC). We have fog lights in the front lower grill and just below the brake lights at the rear. The picture below shows our front parking/side lights as RCO described. Front_Parking_light[1] by kithmo posted May 4, 2016 at 9:23 PM and these are my aftermarket door/puddle lights.
