Has anyone purchased/installed visors yet? Weathertech, WellVisor, and eBay all seem to have them available. Any others? Looking for feedback on which is the best choice. Any GB or deals?

I've had good results with Weathertech on previous cars.

Would love to know too. Weather tech makes only front windows.

Friend told me to beware of ebay ones as they would just fly away.

I have been waiting patiently for weathertech to come out with a complete set. I even emailed the awhile ago. They said it would take a few months. It's 3 already and no sign of them!

How good are the well visors? Are they dark or light tint?

These screens look interesting. About the 18 minute mark.

Installed a set of Weathertech yesterday, front widows only, took about a half an hour. Weathertech has a video for installation which is all you will need. Had them also on a 2012 Plugin which we traded for the 2017 Prius Prime as well as on our 2017 Tacoma.

@JimE2017 How does it look and how's the quality?

Amazon Japan has Toyota Prius Prime original visors. Too bad not available here. [IMG]

This looks like another case were Toyota USA has missed the boat, but I am sure Weathertech does not mind. Will post photo this evening simple install work fine slight design difference I like the Weathertech's better because of how they handle the front of the deflector, which is functional when driving at non hyway speeds (Under 50mph and probably above 50 also). Maybe Toyota should focus on what they do best build vehicles and leave the add on accessories to those who specialize in them.

Maybe, but how then would dealers make all that extra profit on low margin Primes without charging bigly money for illuminated door sills, and the like, options that a prospective buyer wasn't told were on the car when they just drove 600 miles to pick up their new car? ;)

The Weathertech wind deflectors are different and have a vertical part just before the mirror which goes all the way to the top of the door down by the mirror. You flex them and they just slip into the window channel (see video on Weathertech web site). The ones in Japan look like they do not deflect along the vertical part of the movable window glass. They also look like they adhere to the outside of the door. We did not get the ones for the rear windows because we use the rear seats almost never. These are made in Germany not USA like the mats.

Not all dealer have a problem taking back Toyota accessories which they know are not as good as alternatives and selling the customer what they want. That is why our Prius Prime came with Weathertech mats front and rear (they just order what we wanted and took the other off the bill). Much better fit that what Toyota is pushing.

Hi DVSPrius, did you geta chance to take a picture of your wellvisors? I don't want to wait anymore for weathertech to get off there butts and finally finish the back set also. It's been 3 months since they said they were in development!

AVS low profile. I like them and had on my Lexus.

So have you already installed them (AVS) on your Prime? I was just wondering how they looked.

I installed a set of Well Visors which adhere to the outside of the door frames. They hug the car much closer than the Weathertechs I had on my 2005 Prius did. That caused them to tap against the door frame at certain speeds. So I thought I'd apply strips of black foam insulation on the back of the front tips. That quieted them, but the driver side visor flew off the car on the highway later that day. So either applying the insulation pulled the visor's adhesive back enough to let an air pocket develop and grow, or what. I took the other door visors off and will wait for Weathertech to add rear visors to their website. I like that they install into the window well. I never had a problem with the ones on my 2005 Prius, so I'll go with them if, and when, they make a full set.

They look really nice. I have a couple of questions, do they adhere to the outside of the door frame, or do they insert into the window wells? Also, are they quiet at different driving speeds? No vibrations? Thanks.
