I replaced the bulb in the turn signals to LEDs. They began hyperblinking. And I can not find the flasher relay. Under the dashboard to the right (as in ZVW30), I did not find it.

At what point is the flasher relay in the Prius V?

Take a peek at this >>thread<<, post #11. It's for a Gen III, but I imagine the location in a V would be close to the same.

Thank you. But in that place there is no flasher. I already wrote about it.
Instead of flasher using chip BTS 5240 L. It is installed in the speedometr.

How to fix hyperblinking in this case?

Have you tried to place a resistor(3 ohm/4 bulbs or 6 ohm/2 LED's) in series with the LED's?

Resistor to each bulb - it's very simple solution. :) Is as simple as a return of regular light bulbs into place. (n)

In series? I thought that resistor must be connected in parallel with the LED's. In this case.

It is in parallel, across the bulb leads, to simulate the resistance of the original halogen bulb.

Been a long time since using basic electronics terminology. (n)

Those resistors even with the built-in heat sink can get VERY hot, so be careful where you mount them!
I learnt the lesson by touching it (just to see how hot it was) after the flasher was on for only a minutes.

Thanks for the info. Looks like I bought the relay for nothing now

i found some info on a forum from China, apparently that car is also using the same BTS5240 chip, and the owner successfully solve the problem. Too complicated for me : ( guess you need to have some soldering skills and electric knowledge to do the job. and it wont allow me to post link here either

Indeed - there is no flasher relay in the Prius V... I also bought the flasher relay and begged the dealer to changed it for me (I was willing to pay). After watching the GenIII Prius flasher relay tutorial on YouTube, I didn't want to break any bones twisting my body in such a tight space! Their head IT tech guy came back and said there is no such flasher relay on my Prius V 2015.

I don't feel confident enough to start splicing wires with resistors. Last time I used resistors for HID's on my old SUV, the resistors heated so much they had completely melted the plastic housing where they were attached.

yeh, true , resistor defeats the purpose of power saving , it is also a potential fire hazard.

There must be another solution? I read there are supposed to be LED bulbs with built-in resitors, but not sure if that really works!

Using V-LEDS all around and it doesn't hyperflash badly. Quicker, yes, but not crazy fast.

Yes, and entirely worth it. They blaze. You cannot be missed using those lamps.

Thanks for the info, is there a particular brand for the v-led bulbs?

The model V3 Triton is what I use. On sale, they are approximately $50 each.

Do you happen to know how often they go on sale? Think you could record a vid of how fast they blink w/o a resistor? The VLED's resistors do however look super legit compared to the gold generic eBay types.

Tried using JDM Astar's Extremely Bright 50W Red LED bulb and the base connector is too thick to connect with the turn signal socket.

    Hey!
I have fixed integrated into Prius+(PriusV) flasher.
By replacing 2.2k resistors to 10k.
Here is more details and pictures (it is in russian :) ) I can't post link :(
