You're going to need techstream to see if the power steering ecu can communicate with the car ECU or not, then figure out why it can't communicate. Either the wiring harness went bad from the PS ECU to the car ECU or the PS ecu went bad, or there's more issues that you don't know. Thats what I would do. If anyone else had this problem before, it would be nice to know how they fixed it.
Do you truly have no power steering, or just lights and codes? If the former, +1 on checking the harness and connections to the power steering ECU. If the latter, I would check the health of the 12 volt battery first because sometimes that can cause problems with ECU communications. Let us know what you find! Good luck!
I check all the fuses pulling and putting back some and now everything is back to normal. Strange Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Sometimes reseating a loose fuse will restore the circuit. If the problem reoccurs, check the relevant fuses with a resistance meter.
