I am a Prime Advanced owner as well as an iPhone 6s owner. I like to listen to audiobooks through the Audible app in my Prime. Half the time when I start up the car my phone starts playing the audiobook, however, the other half my phone starts playing music from my phone's music library and I have to open the Audible app on my phone and start the audiobook. I connect through bluetooth always. I'm trying to figure out if there is any rhyme or reason as to which audio source the phone selects first as I haven't been able to find a pattern. It seems unrelated to the length of time between drives. Not a huge problem but would like the Audible app to always start and not my music.
Same here (iPhone 6). My music library always trumps other apps on start-up and I have to pause/stop playback to get audio out of any other app. Interested to see if anyone knows a good hack to change the default audio source.
same here, 6S+, on at least 2 major iOS versions, and it also happened with my Gen3 ... I'm convinced it's iOS, not the car
Similar issue for iPhone 7+, I use the Overcast podcast app. More than half of the time it works as expected (play podcast), sometimes no audio at all, and some other times plays music.
I've found that if I put the Prime in gear too soon, the infotainment system gets confused about what I was last listening to...
I don't know if it's related, but have you tried using some other audio application? Sorry I can't help more...
