My suggestion is not mess with remapping rather installing a real cold air induction setup , the cooler the air temp going in . computer will in richen the fuel mixture! Prius is a high temp lean fuel slipping engine. Since CVT likes to rev the engine at high rpm's, installing a performace muffler will help, on the other hand your mpg will take a big hit! gains will very minimal. At least it will sound like it going fast!
Also going with smaller tires will increase torque but throw speedo and other inputs off!

Some other tuners told me it's fully possible, and they say they will do it for much cheaper, but they need the Engine control system ecu, do u guys know which ECU that is?

There is not a market for prius tuning. Anything remapping/ hardware ecu modifation is in infant stage . Chance you can fry the whole electronic control system. You would have a un drivable car, voided hybrid drive train and emission warranty! End up costing 10s thousands $$ to repair! And still won't run right! Unless you have deep pockets! I would like to know the pro and cons after its done.

They've said they've done it on many priuses before... But I will do so if anything fucks up they will have to pay for it. Like make them sign a compensation claim or some. They sign stuff like that all the time on other cars. Smartest thing to do would probably to buy a Prius 3 gen that's all used up, a really cheap one from the scrapyard and see if it handles it.

Not all prius owners care about mpg

Norway must have fast cars. In the Netherlands, the Prius does 10,4s, the Lexus CT200h 10,3 and the Auris 10,9.
Very compareble. Even the IS300 with the 2.5 engine does 8,3.

Chiptuning works well with turbo engines, not well with normally aspirated engines. A claim from 99 to 117 hp seems a lot to me. And it is very hard to prove that claim with a Prius (not easy to test on a rolling road).
What I wish was possible is to remap the HSD to that it uses more electric motor to accelerate. Now it usually charges the battery while accelerating. If you use power from the battery while accelerating the car could be faster and would certainly be quieter.

yea, it has to be perfect weather conditions for it to do 0-100 in 9sec tho, but i have no idea why the CT200h is faster, when it even weighs more.. and my dads auris touring sports feels so much quicker then both our priuses.

And i have no idea why the cars here should be faster with all the damn unnesecary fee`s we got... owning a car in Norway is so expensive, we even had Horsepower Fee`s and stuff where u had to pay 100 dollars for each horse or something.. thats gone now tho but the fee`s r still rediculous.

And lol, i talked with them again, guess what they said? "we have never said that before" LOL, they literally told me that they know the prius very well and they have tuned many of em, 3 months later they claim they have never said that. I sent them the screenshots of them saying they can tune it and they just read the message but didnt answer...
I dont expect u guys to understand what is said since its in norwegian but yea, here u guys see what they say.

So yea... i have no idea why they said they could tune it when they now say they cant, they r legit and have chiptuned other cars in Norway. They have tuned a few of my friends cars aswell. So they r not scammers or anything, but how such a miscummunitaction can happen is beyond me...

there is another chip tuning service who said they could tune aswell for half the price, they r also legit. They said they had to call the dudes in USA they buy the software of before they could say it was possible. but yea, they said it was possible aswell.

and i guess "chiptuning" isnt the right word for hybrids? Maybe it will come a new word for it when/if it becomes a little more normal to increase effect in hybrids lol.

perhaps the chip increases performance by reducing emissions control.
