Maybe because it's "distracted driving?" I think all those screens should be non-operating and inactive while the vehicle is moving. That's just my old man opinion. The car should not be a rolling office. Or a place to post on Facebook. However, I'm sure the younger generation disagrees. People don't "drive" anymore… They get in their cars and do social media stuff!
It was never designed to be a replacement front-end for your phone. Was there something specific you're expecting to do? All we have to go by is the thread title. Give us more info to go on.
Ok I'm sorry, I just want to know how to be able to browse my contact list using the controls in the steering wheel. Like scroll and select in the 11" screen using the arrows on the ST. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Looking at the navigation manual, page 168, if you press the "phone" switch on the steering wheel, it brings up what you want on the display and you can use the arrow keys to navigate.
The controls on the steering wheel are for the Multi-Information Display (the 4" one on the right up near the windshield) which is neither reachable nor a touch screen. The center screen is reachable and a touch screen which is how it's supposed to be used.
Yes but the user interface isn't friendly for driving and navigate with touch. That's why I wanted to see how can I use these buttons. Ty Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
