I have 310,000 Miles on my 2005 Pruis.
To answer your questions:

1) Did you replace the HV battery pack? Replaced 1 cell a couple years ago. I replaced the whole HV battery Pack at around 270,000 miles.
2) Did you replace the hybrid transaxle fluid? No
3) Did you replace the brake pads? No
4) Your lifetime MPG (if available)? Do not keep track
5) How often do you change your oil? What brand / product did you use? Every 4000 - 6000 miles, religiously. From oil change #1....Mobil 1, synthetic.
6) How about post a picture of 300,000 miles on ODO? The new ODO has 9880 miles on it. 299999 + 9880 is appx 310000 miles. I have attached a pic (see below) of the ODO at 299,999 in Sept 2016. I will get a picture of the current mileage.
7) Are you the original owner? Yes
8) How many miles under your ownership? All except 5 miles.
9) Feel free to add anything else you wish to share. This has been a very dependable car. Other than oil, filters and tires. I have Replaced the following (not in this order).... catalytic converter, inverter water pump (yesterday), timing chain (only because I thought I should). Right head lamp, Replaced one cell in the original HV battery, then replaced the complete HV Battery at appx 250,000.
I now need to replace the 12 volt battery for the first time.

 

My prius is also at 299,999. Is this a limitation of the car. I think that it is extortion to force us to fix this problem when an odometer should go to 999,999. I use my car for business. How am I to bill clients?

 

Texas Hybrid Batteries posted a solution they offer to replace the combination meter with one from a 2006-2009 Prius and copy over your current mileage, which would fix your problem.

 

Can you use your tripmeters until the replacement arrives?

 

My 2005 odometer stuck at 299,999 as well yesterday, did not read the whole topic but I will and I am hoping its an easy fix.

Bought the car from a used car dealer for 5k when it had 220k on it on 2013.

Since then I didn't do any maintenance other than cat was bad.
I cleaned the EV fan 10 days ago.
Only oilchange and breaks thats it. and got new set of tires.

I have 89 toyota pickup at 240kish miles.
Owned a 99 avalon that died with bad clynder at 260k.
I wrecked 2wd 85 toyota pickup at 320k miles.

I buy Toyota after 200k miles and it pays for it self and i almost technically drive for free

 

The fix may be as easy as going to the dealer and ask them to replace the combination meter. I have a friend that said Toyota replaced the one in his 2007 last month.

If that doesn't work, Texas Hybrid Batteries can replace it, matching your existing actual mileage or closes estimate. Great people to deal with!

 

Unfortunately, the fix from Toyota for a 2005 (and 2004) will still result in the CM topping out at 299,999 mi. The 2007 you mentioned will not have this problem.

The only solution to "fix" the 299,999 mi ODO issue is to retrofit a 2006-2009 Light Cluster (modified to move the TPMS light) and CM such as offered by Texas Hybrid Batteries. Toyota do not have an official fix for this problem on the 2004-2005 Gen II models. If they replace the CM, it will still stop at 299,999 miles.

That fixed that "too reliable" I have a 2010 and the engine knocks when the battery is at two bars or three bars ( If you search, that will be popular). We have had issues with the intake manifold and the EGR valve love this car. No CEL yet. I want the miles that you have on yours. I bought this car to defy the perceptions that have been on the Prius.

OK another update.

I currently have 461,000 miles on my 2005 Prius.
I recently blew out a few fuses while using a new USB/LIGHTER/POWER supply thing.
That took me 3 weeks to get all the "mini" fuses checked and find the culprit.
(NOTE: Be careful when messing around with the lighter accessories.)

1. For the last 100,000 miles I have been using the cheapest possible WALMART OIL I can find. No more synthetic. I have not noticed the slightest difference at all. I still burn about 1 quart every month or so. I burn much less if I keep speeds below 75 MPH.

2. Had to replace the CLOCK SPRING in the steering wheel. Not a bad job 2 or 3 great youtube videos on how to do this. I now have to do the same job on my Wife's 2004 (180,000). BTW: Bought new on either Amazon or Ebay. I find Ebay really good for used car parts.

3. Finally starting to get some surface rust behind driver side rear door. I have been lightly sanding and repainting with silver matching Toyota paint from Advanced Auto. Can lasts me about 2 or more years for all the touch ups. Mainly on the hood and lower front end, from the long Western NY winters.

4. Have been really impressed with the interior/rug cleaners found at the big box car parts stores. Especially for the stock floor mats.

5. I can say that my car rides better than my Wife's 2004. I had the struts and springs replaced on mine. I am going to have hers replaced next spring. Her car tends to float and drift more, mine is firm and true. Cornering is still soft, I never installed a sway bar.

6. Stopped using Michelin Defenders and now use a cheaper 100,000 mile tire from Mavis (just came out).

7. Needed headlight so decided to try this bulb from ebay. I like it but there is only one setting, no high beam. They are super bright, have to aim bulbs down low to not blind people. I am not kidding.

8. Also use a great app on ANDROID GALAXY called "TORQUE". It is absolutely amazing. Scans for codes, clears codes, saves trip data, checks coolant temps, RPMS, gas mileage, GPS information, altitude, compass, create multiple car profiles all customized.... and more. Just have to purchase a OBDII reader for under the dash by the steering column. That's for the latest update. I bought this one.

465k miles
The battery just went the day we picked the car up from Toyota after getting the driver's side hub assembly replaced. We have done the shock twice, catalytic converter, new dash, brakes once (!), lots of tires and oil changes and new headlights. That's it!!

My job is 62 miles away and we travel from NY to PA every week. My car before this was an XJ8 Jaguar which died at 60k miles with everything wrong with it. I miss having a "nice car" but I sure don't miss living at the Jaguar dealer and spending thousands trying to fix it. The Prius has been incredibly reliable and low cost.

 

Thats VERY impressive! What year? How many times did you get hybrid battery fan cleaned?

 

It's actually at 469k miles and a few thousand more because the dash wasn't working (husband corrected me).

I have never gotten the fan cleaned. I never heard of doing that until now! The car is a 2007. We are getting Toyota to put in a new battery
