Does anybody know where to get these. They are great when you want some fresh air when it's raining. I couldn't find any online. Any suggestions?
Mike, I bought my WeatherTech Vent Visors from MacNeil Automotive Products. Here is the link to their website: http://www.weathertech.com/ I installed the vent visors in about 10 minutes. I also bought the LampGard from MacNeil. MacNeil Automotive Products 2435 Wisconsin Street Downers Grove, IL 60515 630-769-1500

It seems they would always make noise when closing the window, or not actually seal, as they are in the track. I have no problem with the tape ons, but can't find them for the Prius.
Try toyota town in canada. phone number is 604-530-9151.talked to steve........ cost was 64.50 plus shipping . 24.59.got them in about a week.thought shipping was kind of high but well worth it to me......
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(mike_m @ May 13 2006, 06:03 PM) </div> I have the tape-ons on my 04, and the Weathertech on my 06, and definitely prefer the Weathertech. They bevel the edges pretty thin where they go in the track, so the windows close and seal just fine. If I ever have to take any one of the tape-ons off the 04 in the future, I will use that opportunity to install new Weathertechs. BTW, evidently you can order Weathertechs from Advance Auto instore for cheaper than I've found online. They don't show on their site, however.
Talonts, I also had the tape-ons on my 04 and very much liked them. Much to my amazement I'm agonizing over a simple decision between what I know and the much cooler looking Weathertechs. Based on your post I think I'll go with the Weathertechs. They definitely look more aerodynamic. Thanks.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(David @ May 13 2006, 10:20 PM) </div> I had dealer install the WeatherTec ones before i picked up the car. They look great and work well. Only issue is on fast (auto) up the window thinks it hit something and goes down. Not that big a deal for me. Al
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Big Al5 @ May 16 2006, 06:39 AM) </div> Al, Did you reset the auto-up? If the dealer didn't reset it for the increased force, there's your problem. If you install the Weathertechs and don't reset the auto-up, the window won't even close most of the time, it will just bounce back down. Resetting the auto-up takes care of it.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(talonts @ May 16 2006, 07:09 PM) </div> How you do dat?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(mike_m @ May 16 2006, 07:05 PM) </div> If you bought your Prius new (assuming you aren't still waiting for one), it's covered in the Owner's Manual. Somewhere.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(talonts @ May 17 2006, 12:09 AM) </div> Cool. I haven't done the windows yet. Actually, I haven't done the car yet. Mine should arrive after the 21st of this month. I'm lining everything up.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(talonts @ May 16 2006, 07:09 PM) </div> Talonts, You called it correct! On the page explaining the switches it says if you disconnect the battery then move window half way down, then hold the up several seconds after it closes. Worked like a charm. Thanks! Al
I got mine from Totota Canada. One issue I have found is the side of the rear window also opens up a crack towards the rear of the car, In other words the window does not go straight down when opened. Because of this rain can come in through that small side opening. I like to leave my windows open a crack when parked in the hot months to reduce interior heat, but due to this rear window issue I can only crack open the front windows. I wouldn't think any other brand would prevent this. Opinions Anyone???? -Al
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(alsgameroom @ Jul 5 2006, 10:42 AM) </div> I'll have to look later to see if my car shows the same issue. While I've had the WeatherTech ones installed for over a year, I only used them once while parked. Most times, they just add extra sun blockage near dawn and dusk. The only noise I notice is the same dratft-like sound from before the install, like I should have had the driver's door reseated back when the warranty covered such nuisance items...
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(mikepaul @ Jul 5 2006, 10:58 AM) </div> Ditto... I drive to work during the dawn hours and like to release the interior visor and swing it over to my left to block the sun coming in the drivers side window. But at certain times of the year the sun is peeking in towards the rear of the drivers side window and.. since the interior visor does not cover the width of the drivers side window, the vent shades do the trick!
