I am not sure of the packages available in Canada (Quebec). They are no doubt different than the US ones. @Tideland Prius likely has that information.

No. Those are luxury car features such as SUV or German cars. But Prime has the HUD!

Does the Canadian version have those features? That is what is being asked.

    Np!

It's pretty well equipped in base trim (just missing 3-dr SKS, JBL audio and 17" alloys from your Touring model). The 3-dr SKS will bug me. I use the hatch often.

Haha, awaiting the release in BC, too much range anxiety with my Leaf at the moment :p

How's the LEAF? (aside from range anxiety?). How many km to the charge?

Leaf is not bad. Really fun car to drive. Full charge around 209 km. However those km drop fast on highway. Range is not very accurate. I base my driving on the battery %. Charging level 1 home charger around 21-22 hours and level 2 around 4-5 hours, quick charge is around 25-30 min.

I sure hope nobody minds if I get on topic here... snicker........

I had some errands to run yesterday, and decided to make an "HV-Only Test Run". I drove a 16.4 mile stretch to start with... the engine was "cold"... and the car's estimated (remaining) range in EV mode was 11.1....

At the end of that 16.4 miles in HV, the car's estimated mpg was ... wait for it... 77.4!

Not quite as good as 79.5, but da-a-a-a-ang! The best I'd ever get making similar trips in our '08 would be maybe 65 mpg, but usually it would be between 55 and 60....

I "goofed" with the other (two) legs of my errands (which totaled only about 6 miles)... I forgot the car "defaults" to EV whenever starting up, and both times I didn't remember until I was well into the additional "legs"....... I did switch back to HV upon realizing my mistake, but the above 77.4 mpg is the only HV read-out I can justify reporting here.

By the time I returned home, the car's estimated (remaining) range in EV mode had dropped from 11.1 to 9.4... and that, of course, is including / involving the mile-or-so that I accidentally drove in EV....

So... how accurate ARE the Prime's estimates / read-outs for such stuff, anyway? I mean, c'mon now... 77.4 mpg?!?!?

Fair question. All I can tell you is that I have been driving my 90 mile work commute on one full EV charge and 0.75 Gallons for months now. If the EV is 35 miles then the HV is 55/0.75 = 73 MPG.

I really should track fuel purchases but they are infrequent enough I forget about them ... and truth be told, my interest is EV these days

Well, for my little over 1 month of Prime ownership and with odometer approaching 3500 miles, I have filled the tank 4 times already. Unfortunately, I have not had a long enough run to have a single trip without any EV to use up full tank. However, the mpg displayed on my tripmeter has been 2-6% higher than mpg calculated by actual gas used during the trip based on the full tank method. This has been the case for my previous Gen 3, and it has been well documented that Prius usually shows 5-6% higher mpg than actual. I would say Prime's mpg is not accurate, but off by same margin as Gen3 was, that is 5-6% higher than actual value.

Same here with my Gen 2 / '08... almost without fail (90 to 95% of the time), the car's read-out would be up to 5% higher than the hand-calc method, and only a FEW times the car was "off" (higher) by more than 10%. Anywhooo...

...even IF the Prime was 10% higher than the actual, well... 77.4 x 0.9 = 69.66 mpg, and I can DEFINITELY live with that!
