Whatever "fixes" things seems to be running automatically, and not that well. @Danny is not involved??????
How so? Still full of data faults here and I don't assume I'm alone with this stumbling struggle to follow any thread.
Golly!! Every time I try it, it's still unusable. Took 15 tries just to get this scrambled mess I'm looking at. I'll copy this before I try posting it. Just in case.
Well, again, I actually NEEDED the site for a car question this morning, and could not get on. Luckily, I managed to raise a friend who knows a fair amount about the Prius and he reassured me about the issue. But, these outages are getting pretty darn unacceptable. Having said that, the site is free, so why am I complaining...l. kris
Why do you persist with this ? Has Tideland not told us plainly and repeatedly that they do NOT have any special connection to Danny........or any knowledge of the forum software ?? I'm pretty sure that they have.
he asked that he be made aware when there were problems, in case none of the mods were on line at the time.
I hit the "LIKE" button on Menel's post just above, but honestly, I DON'T like it. But, I think he's right. I hate to admit it, but I have pretty much been shunning this site for the past few months and after the past few days, I doubt seriously if I will return much, if ever....I suppose if I have a problem that I can't solve, I may try back here, but it will be a last resort sort of thing. But, the past two real car problems I have had, the site has been down and I got no help here solely because I could not access the forums. I used to have one member's email, and he helped me that way several years ago, but that was before the forum problems and I lost that email, as well as that email account a few years ago. Well, I learned a great deal here. And, despite the fact that I have never met any of you face-to-face, I will miss the good nature of the people here. I admit when I first started posting, I was a bit leery that I would be treated as a "little lady," but only once have I felt like someone sort of was being a sexist, but even that person has mellowed over the years, though I still mostly ignore his posts. Not saying I will not EVER be back, but after the issues I encountered the past few days, especially this morning.....
Oh I'm not shunning, just thought it might be good to say goodbye, before the big one. The site's big one, lol.
Whew! We don't want to lose you, my friend! But, yeah, I've been wondering about that, too. Here's what I posted on another thread on the subject after I did a little googling: I did some reading. Seems to be a common issue with XenForo. Could be an issue with InnoDB. Could be simply a hard drive partition is full on the server. Could be a shared hosting problem and it needs to be moved to VPS hosting. Can't tell without CPanel access.
