I didn't go that route, but if memory from reading these forums serves correctly, yes and kinda. The radio portion works without issue, but anything outside of that is hit and miss. One guy had issues getting a rear signal working so he could get a camera installed, another had issues (not sure if resolved) with getting satellite radio working. Lastly, the fitment of the 2016 radio face may not work with the 2012 radio dash. In particular, the bottom left and bottom right of both radios. The 2012 radio has a weird pointy thing at the bottom left, where the 2016 version is straight. Here are some images that show that here: 2012-2014 version 2015+ version
