I am waiting for someone to come out with a armrest console box lid cover protector for the Prime. Those always seem to wear. (Plus I wanted to post in a new area)
My 2010 Prius has a deluxe cotton hand towel covering it. Yes, I've looked for something like this before as well. The fabric cover on my 2010 Prius is arm worn. The black Softex on my 2014 4Runner still looks pristine. All it's ever seen is a damp cloth.
I use a black hand towel on my Prime. Could not find anything else to use and it's not a huge deal to move it out of the way when opening the center console. Very comfortable and I want to avoid wearing a hole on the center console like I did on my Camry.
I was having the wear start to show on my 2012 v so I also used a black hand towel. Now with my Prime I have upgraded my towel to a golf towel from Wizard Golf Club in Myrtle Beach.
I used a sun visor cover (Walmart, $4.97). Slipped the elastic band on one side over the back of the lid, and cut the elastic band on the other side, threaded it behind the front hinge, and tied the cut elastic band together with heavy string. Works great.
Here is what I've found. Was on Amazon. $16 . It rests a little high so far but I imagine that will go down some with use. Fits the shape of the console perfectly though and is easy to put on even with the sideways opening.
first time poster here. We just got a 'new to us' Prius Prime Base 2017 to keep company to our other EV and would like to cover the center arm rest console lid and saw this thread (see, I searched before posting ) and I'm bumping it up since the last replier never got an answer. I'm looking for something like this. Couldn't find one on Amazon that would fit the 41cmx15cmx4cm lid cover dimensions. The other responses in this thread are too 'home made' for me. I'm looking for something more "professional". Thanks.
