So, I have a secret. A guilty pleasure almost. OK, I’ll just say it: I think the Prime is beautiful.

No idea. I saw him circling my car and then walking toward the store.

The Prime does have that techno pop, Japanese video arcade look, but I have gotten more used to it. It's like the song, "Just make an ugly woman your wife, and you'll be happy the rest of your life". There's more to it than looks. I have been surprised with comments about the car's looks; the women I've spoken to have all thought it was very pretty and sporty; several didn't even know it was a Prius. I really didn't hear male comments about the looks of the car; they were more focused on the techno stuff.
Now on looks (we're not talkin' reliability here), for me, NOTHING touches the finest Italian automobiles! They just ooze that je ne sais quoi! They offer both understated and extreme designs, but always with class and originality!
    Thatsa one spicy meataball!

I had a guy circling my car and he was zapped by the car and disappeared. Is that a feature I have not gotten to in the manual? Can you turn it off?

I agree!! Also, the Jaguar XKE from the 60's I think was one of the most gorgeous cars made. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Jaguar_E-Type_series_1_coupé_1964.jpg

Everyone who sees the Prime in pictures says it's butt-ugly. Everyone who has seen mine in person has told me how beautiful they think it is, including the (Blue) color. I had a 10 minute lecture yesterday from a couple of guys at my flying club on just how great they thought which lines were. These are older pickup-truck drivers.

I've never owned a blue vehicle before. I never wanted a blue vehicle before. But blue is my favorite color actually. But when I saw the Prime in Blue Magnetism I knew I had to have it. A couple at my Toyota dealership saw me drive in the other day and pointed, then gasped, and ended up talking to me for about 10 minutes about the car. Color is such a personal thing, what one person likes, another doesn't. But for me, Toyota hit a homer with this one.

So basically BLUE is the one to get.... seems like it!

Yes, unless of course you don't like the BLUE, in which case, BLUE is still the one to get, though Titanium and Red are also nice

Is this why it's sold out everywhere? I see so many colors available, but not the blue!

Is it usually blue shown in ads and brochures? I can see that influencing buyers.

Could be. In person, it's a very unique blue.

The brochure's fairly mixed, the following, and blue's by no means showcased:

I think though a lot of the ads, and New York reveal, it was blue?

To me that blue doesn't look like the real world color.

Yes and no. In real life and some videos, blue is shown but it's a difficult colour to replicate in some cases (as you probably came across a green Prime which was supposed to be Blue Magnestism). Some ads are using Magnetic Grey (like the "that'll never happen" videos).

I've had a few nice comments about my Mag. Grey Prime from co-workers over the last few days. Many of those comments revolved around how it doesn't look like a Prius. I've taken those as a compliment. They love the look of the front. No comments yet about the back of the car. Then there was the "That's a Prius?" Also good, I think.

I think the Prime is a huge upgrade to the Gen 4 Prius in terms of looks (although two full-model modified Gen4s looked amazing in this magazine I glanced though at a local Japanese bookstore). That said, I think the Prime would look better lowered (especially on some Work Meister S1s) - but then my tastes lean towards JDM modified/stanced. I'm wondering if I can mount a low-profile front splitter on it if I end up picking one up.

Haha, guess I'm not the only one who carries a jack in the trunk all over the place.

That's kind of the case with a lot of British cars though. There's a reason Lucas Electrics is known as the King of Darkness. You're also forgetting the continuous oil leaks (yeah I know the old adage; "if there isn't oil under it, there isn't oil in it!")
