The free version has some of those features.
The paid version has additional features like datalogging.
Look for "Torque" app on Google Play store.

is it safe to buy a hybrid prius battery at the junkyard since it seems to be cheaper?

I would say that would be my last resort. I would pay more and get a rebuilt one with a warranty.

Not sure your reason to trade in the Prius, but the most expensive repair item on the car is the hybrid battery. After that's fixed, there shouldn't be much else to worry about. Routine maintanance and gas are cheaper with the Prius than the Corolla. You will also loose money in any vehicle trade transaction, which would need to be considered if you are considering not loosing or spending more money.

    I wouldn't.

There is no correlation between paying more and better quality, in this instance. More likely the reverse, I would be very selective to ensure the battery was in good working condition, though.

Today I DIY my 2015 prius hybrid battery pack with brand new replacement battery cylinder cells, and it works well, nice experience I think and just spend $1650 with 2 year or 62500 mile warranty. now I want to recondition the old cells, Can friends recommend me the charger and discharger? Thanks, Edward

The 2015 battery is 4 years old, why did you need a new one?

I can recondition it for you if you're in the Los Angeles area, it'll be way cheaper than buying a charger/discharger for $700

I had some issues with Torque connecting to a wi-fi based code reader. After switching to a blutooth version, it mostly connects. Sometimes you have to refresh your blutooth devices on your smart phone.

If you want to look more specifically at HV battery status, Dr. Prius also has a free version that presents the information in a bar-graph format, which might be easier on the eyes that looking at 14 different dials of Torque.

You definitely should not charge/discharge batteries unless they are clamped down. For example in a Prius case. If you have them sitting around loose when charging/discharging, then they will get damaged.
Buy a whole-pack charger discharger for ~$500-$700 and you can do the whole pack at once, doing 3 cycles in only a couple of days
