    The website is securedp.toyota.com

It used to be you could only update through the dealer or through the 2nd tier tech info subscription. I have been following this website for a while since it always and only provided the update file for my 2015 3. No other head unit.

Well now that site seems to provide update files for all head units, just choose your model, your head unit, download the file and put on USB and in car and update, super simple.

For my 2017 I know the 01018c changelog was much much bigger than the few things they list there, as I saw the whole change log on techinfo.

I just downloaded the update. Will try installing it tomorrow (can't find USB drive right now!). This is a Mexico version so I don't keep my expectations too high tough...

So, I applied the update with no problems. It seems only the audio portion was updated.
Can't see any difference yet, but it seems they fixed some minor bugs. IMG_20170712_070236.jpg IMG_20170712_070401.jpg

Where do you see the changes? I am leery of doing the update until others do,.

Let us know how it goes. Which version do you have? With or without nav?

Perhaps you missed my previous post; I already applied the update. It went from version 010189 to 01018C.
It is the Entune Premium Audio, with all the Entune Apps disabled, but with Navigation included. The head unit model is 13TDANNA-DA11 (hardware 86100-47561).

I did. I thought it was from someone outside Mexico as the menus are configured in English. I have a navless unit that has a huge audio delay when playing through Bluetooth. It's impossible to watch YouTube or movies in a phone or tablet. Did you notice any improvement in that function?

My unit also has a huge lag, and that was not fixed with the update. I believe this is a limitation when streaming on Bluetooth and cannot be fixed by software.
My screens are in English because the translation to Spanish is really bad, and usually I feel more comfortable with all my electronics in English language.

Is 01018C the latest? I had 010182 in December (2016) based on a post I made here in another thread. I confirmed I still have the same version.

Based on the version number alone, 8C sounds newer but the download site says that version was released 10 August 2016. I had received OTA updates after August, for sure.

Mine went from 01089 to 0108C. I had a recent OTA update via the Entune app then did the USB update today.

If by useful you mean undetectable, yes. (j/k) I haven't had a chance to exercise the software yet.

For what it's worth, the download instructions say

All "Audio" software versions begin with "0101". The last 2 digits change to higher numbers with newer versions. Letters are "newer" than numbers. i.e. 0101A1 is newer than 010195.

So, 01018C should be newer than 010182

One way to access the download site'naturally' is from Toyota's owners page (Toyota Owners Official Web Site). You don't need to login. Under the 'Resources' tab, select 'Entune'. Then page down to the 'Update Now' button and you'll be at the downloads site.

My guess is they are using hexadecimal notation. Anyone not knowing hex notation: each digit position increases from '0' to '9', then from 'A' to 'F'.

That was my guess, but the date on the website doesn't align and threw me off of my assumption.

EDIT: I performed the update, from 010182 to 01018C. Then it immediately had "mandatory" Entune app updates.

Map display prefs were lost again, similar to what would happen with a reboot or loss of 12v power. But Pandora started working again; it had been hit or miss (mostly miss) for the past few months... Probably because the software in the car was so far out of sync with the Entune phone app?

You can only view the full changelog if you have a tech info subscription. I had it a few weeks ago and viewed it, but did not save it unfortunately.

There were about 25 or so things listed in the changelog, almost of them were bug fixes/crash fixes/performance improvements/bluetooth/phone fixes.

I believe the 8C version was the version that solved the lockup and random rebooting that I was experiencing in the headunit. The dealer installed it early this year, if I had known it was available online I would have done it myself.
