    The car we just bought is doing just fine but the AC doesn't work.Its got Freon in it but the compressor want come on.Any help is appreciated.

    prius a/c is high voltage electric. it is usually recommended to take it to a dealer.

    Yeah it's a 3 phase compressor and extremely dangerous. I was just looking to see if there was something that I'm just overlooking. I believe it's going to a shop soon.Thank you for your help.

    Lots of things about the A/C are not high voltage or dangerous, and are easy to check.

    The trouble codes, for example. Have you held down AUTO+RECIRC together while pressing the power button twice (foot off brake) to read the two-digit codes from the MFD?
