How many miles at delivery?

We had 4 on ours. I was there when it got unloaded from the carrier.

 

Mine had 76, only because it had to come from a dealer in the next state. It had 3 or 5 on it when it left that dealer.

 

Ours was similar - it had 66 miles on it, but it came from a dealer that was about 25 miles from the dealer we picked it up from.

SLIGHTLY off-topic, but: Many of you have mentioned / included the miles from your test-drives in the total miles at delivery. Am I the only one 'round here who only takes cars out for test-RIDES?

 

I am not sure of the terminology. In our two test drives, we were driving, with the salesman in the passenger seat. So is that a test drive?

 

Yes.
I have come across some paranoid salesmen who insist on driving and only permitting a test RIDE.

 

My dealer ALWAYS allows me to Test Drive the cars. The car I eventually bought was only driven about a mile within the dealership by me. The version I actually test drove was the Prius Premium in Magnetism Blue, but I wanted the Advanced.

I think, since it isn't here at my office at the moment, mine had 13 miles on the clock when I drove it off the dealership. My assumption was it went on a couple of test drives before I got it. It also had no EV on it. I know they put a couple of miles just prepping it up for me, since Longo Toyota, is huge!

 

I actually didn't test drive (or ride) my Prime. I know Prii and I know Toyota quality. I did a lot of research on the Prime before I pulled the trigger. The salesman was surprised but he was very knowledgeable with the Prime and explained a lot of the features and even synced up my phone. I got to say I'm Totally impressed with the Prime.

 

How did you manage to be there when it was unloaded from the carrier?...."Don't move it till I get there!!!!"

 

Mine had 5 miles before I went on the test drive or shake down trip with the salesman along. That ran it up to 16 or so which is where it was when I drove out. None of those miles I drove were in EV mode as the traction battery had not been charged. It spent its first night at home plugged in and charging.

 

Same with me and I complained about it on their survey and got a call the next day saying they where installing charging stations for future buyers. So I guess buyers after me got a full charge,

 

113 miles -- it had to be driven up from Massachusetts.

 

I was just lucky. I stopped in to dealer to hand in insurance card and they were halfway emptying a trailer. And our Prime was last to be unloaded. Though I made them charge it overnight before we would take ownership!

 

Went to 3 dealerships to look at the Prime (same trim level and color). All 3 dealerships allowed me to drive the car myself (salesman was next to me in the car). One dealership's car had 90 miles. Next had 38 miles. 3rd dealership's had 40 miles (a few miles more after my testdrive). Bought the 40 mile one because it was the cheapest from that dealership.

Most dealerships require you to at least show your Drivers Lic (often they make a copy of it), but I would immediately walk away from any dealership that wouldn't allow me to drive the car myself. Period.

 

mine had 3 miles, no EV charge, I wanted to drive it just to make sure nothing seriously wrong ... and i agree with @stevepea walk (drive) away if they don't let you test drive a car

 

Mine had 7 miles.

 

I just bought mine 2 days ago and it had 7 miles. I test drove the Advanced that they had but bought the Premium one that was just received that morning.

 

My PP Advanced was delivered to the dealer on 5/30/17. I bought it on 6/19/17 with 5 miles on the odometer.

 

I am always surprised when I get to a dealership and they hand me keys and say enjoy your test drive. It seems so alien when they aren't in the car. I have had one dealership alternate as to if they take a ride with me or just send me on my way. I have only been to one dealership where they didn't even give me the time of day, their loss, bought the same vehicle from their competitor that day, serves you right for making a decision based on me being in sweatpants and a t-shirt. I always find it amusing when people dress up to go buy a car, I tend to dress down a bit and make them work .
