If you are tired of that irritating continuous beep while in reverse, I can take care of that for you. I can customize your Gen 3 (2010-2015) prius to only beep once while you put your car in reverse. Process takes about 5 min and can be done anywhere. If you are around the Vacaville, Fairfield California area, we can meet up and I can customize your prius for you. Hit me up if interested.

If it is so easy, why not give us the instructions? I'm in Texas and would love this fix.

The reason being is that in order to customize, a wifi ELM327 adapter is needed and a customizing software which I have. There are multiple threads on how to do it. I just figured since I have all the equipment needed, I could provide the service for fellow prius owners near my area.

I just know how distracting it is to back up with that continuous beep. Especially when all my other vehicles have an audible alarm from back up sensors. So I ways feel like im about to hit something when reversing on the prius.

Thank you. I might have to take you up on the offer. Mine is already disabled but I know if the 12V battery ever runs out or gets disconnected, I'll have to reapply the fix.

I live in Amarillo. I wonder if this "fix" would have any impact on warranty? ...I wish the beep were outside like commercial trucks--to warn people my baby was backing.

It will cost you about $20 to do it yourself. You need a Bluetooth OBD2 adapter like this one:
Blue Mini ELM327 OBD2 II Bluetooth Diagnostic Car Auto Interface Scanner - Walmart.com

    (look for ELM-327)

A smartphone, and the Carista app:
Carista – OBD2 vehicle diagnostics, customizations, coding & tools

Carista costs like $10 to activate it for 1 week to change the customizable settings on the car. Well worth it!

I did it in less than 5 minutes with the Prius tweak app, it's free in Google play. I used a blue tooth obd2 scanner I got off Amazon for 19.99.
