replaced the battery in my key fob, but I'm at the point where only the front passengers door is unlocking off of the key fob anymore. What part do I need to replace? Anyone do this before? Thanks!
I'm sorry for not clarifying, it's when I push the button on the FOB. One door is still functioning, and I replaced the battery in the FOB
Ah ok looks like you may need a new door lock actuator. Should be part 69040-47060 and man are they pricey at around $200 a piece. Not sure how hard it is to replace on the Prius, but I've done it on other cars and it is definitely a diy job. Let's see if someone else can chime in to verify. I'm new to the Prius so there may be some quirks and cheaper solutions that I'm not aware of. edit: Found a $100 remanufactured one on ebay with lifetime warranty and good reviews: Toyota Prius OEM Front Left Door Lock Actuator 2004-2012 **Lifetime Warranty** | eBay
Thanks a ton! That sounds about right, at least what i was hearing from friends. I will probably just do the front one, I rarely have to open the back doors. Do they have to be reset somehow to work with my fob?
I don't believe the FOB sends a signal to your actuator so it should work once replaced. Here's a diy I found, but the pictures seem dead. Fixed: Door Lock Actuator in Gen II Prius | PriusChat
