You're welcome. I will say that 50% isn't very dark. I have had 20% on several different vehicles and I've never been pulled over for it. I guess it depends on where you live and if you're willing to pay fines. Maybe you should look at 35% before you go 50.

As long as it's legal. Last thing you want is to be responding to the Coroner at an inquest if it's not - fines are a minor issue in comparison. Also if it's not legal, it could void your insurance.

Or make it difficult to drive. My father-in-law had his car tinted in the '80s with a dark tint before legal limits were imposed - but certainly would have been illegal. I was only in my 30s with good vision, but it was too dark for me to comfortably drive at night.

Back in my lowrider days and when I was younger (I'm 36 now) I used 5% over 5%. 20% is not dark enough to make it hard to see for me or my wife. It definitely doesn't void your insurance as I've had the same insurance company for 15 years and I have 3 tint tickets with them. They aren't moving violations so they don't count on your driving record. I just pay them and keep living with tinted windows.

To each their own I guess.

I was just recommending that the person explore all options of darkness. 60% is the legal limit where I live and that isn't even worth having done in my opinion.

Eventually, due to the effect of heat migration, the interior of any car will become equalized with the outdoor air temperature. That said, there is a temporary greenhouse effect that tinting "may" reduce. The question is how much? A lot of the claims for tinting are unproven. It does look cool, however.

This post is marketing manure. Every tint brand could use this copy. "Limiting" a lifetime warranty is not standing behind a product, it's reducing liability with wordsmithing. If LLumar is "known" why don't I recognize the brand? Pure horsepucky.

LLumar has been around for as long as I can remember here in Ohio.

I'm alarmed at the poor rear visibility without aftermarket tint, with the steeply sloping beltline, divided rear window, forest of head rests. Compound that with myopia and night driving, in the rain, tinting's not for me, any level.

I've had super dark tint on all my cars in the past and I also went with ceramic tint this time. Well worth the cost. I did 40% on all windows and 90% on the windshield. The difference is unbelievable. That searing Heat even when you're sitting in an air-conditioned car coming from the windows is completely gone. A direct result was better gas mileage because the AC does not have to work as hard. I recently got 65 miles to the gallon going to LA and back.

Don't hesitate in the least. I spent$500 for all my windows through a hookup but was quoted 7 to 900 other places.

Geesh, they aren't kidding when they say everything is more expensive in California.
Mine was $280 for ceramic tint
