Prius Prime - official prices paid thread

I don't know the actual percentage, they just call it medium tint out of the 3 that they offer. As I've said in another post, the car already has a pretty good tint from the factory, so my medium tint just adds to that to make it fairly dark.

That's right; I had setup my 2012 PIP with the tinted windshield also, but found that to be unsatisfactory in that you couldn't use a suction cup on the windshield without messing up the tint.
Also the windshield tint is sensitive to the window cleaner you use. You can't use ammonia-based window cleaners. I often cleaned the windshield but had to use a special cleaner and it was a real pain in the keister. Of course the same applies to the side windows and the rear windshield, but I didn't seem to need to clean those that often. I did not tint the windshield on my Prius Prime, and it's fine that way, with just the factory tint.

I have all side, rear, and top windshield tinted. The top windshield is darker than the 35% which is on the rest of the windows.

Contacted Dave and told him what I wanted with Costco pricing. He priced it as outlined above. The side moldings, door edge guards and applique were added by them and therefore a little more than the "package price" but I would have had to wait for a car to order. Worth the few extra bucks. BTW - They had to get the car from another Dealer. No "hard sell" on extras. Put down deposit 6/7, took train from Raleigh to Trenton and picked up the car on 6/15. Very satisfied with the transaction.

Quotes in NC including all the above were >37,000 and wait 4-12 weeks.

Sadly, in the last week my 2004 was declared a total loss by insurance in a front-end collision (not my fault). Over the weekend I looked at options... was looking for a Prius with DRCC, and ended up with the following:

- Model/color: 2017 Prius Prime Premium, Classic Silver Metallic, Black SofTex
- MSRP (this is sticker price) : $30,123
- Incentives (specify if Toyota rebate or dealer markdown): $3,125 cash back (marked as rebates); $2,750 discount ($1,250 grad rebate, $500 extra discount) Technically they did not have me sign the grad rebate yet, maybe that comes later -- it was very close to closing time.
- Selling price before TTL: $24,248
- Out the door price (after TTL/fees, specify tax %) Doc prep fee $499, Title prep fee $5 (will register in home state of NH, thus no tax) -- total price $24,752
- Dealer location: Woburn, MA
- Vehicle manufactured and shipped to original dealer date (CARFAX): 04/17/2017 -- I forget the exact number, but manager mentioned that the car had been in lot for 60-something days, which agrees with this.

Same goes for NY. Dealer collected 7.5% sales tax plus 2.1% reg fee. Received CO plates and registration card via Fedex today from dealer. NY issues a 30-day transit tag. Very strange to receive my CO plates from NY but saves me a trip to DMV

In SF Bay Area, dealers are not discounting the Prime. $100~$200 off MSRP other than the factory discount. Tax is 9.5~10%, license fee is high.... but at least our income average is higher to offset all the high living costs.

I paid full price on my Prime advanced during July 4th weekend. At least I got a great deal on the trade in. Loving the Prime!!!

You west and east coasters just don't know the thrilling joy of paying absolute full list price for a Prime that hardly any Midwestern dealer wants to stock. And in Illinois, NO dealer will order the model for stock on-the-lot sales. Just isn't done. We're different, and we like it that way.

Got to say though, even not getting the discounts all y'all are getting, the car is incredible and worth every penny.

 

As of tonight, July 18, Socal Toyota dealers offering factory rebate of $1000 til July 31st. You know the rest of the incentives,

$34,760.82 plus $500 down to hold it... that is what i paid out the door for my prius prime advanced... so inclusive of ttl, etc etc...

got the $2500 cash back... had to go to new york state to get it...
took an amtrak from chicago with my granddaughter, picked up the car, drove it home (suburban chicago) via michigan (visited relatives)...

she's a beaut... hypersonic red with black interior...

looking forward to the credit on my taxes next year too...
