Hi all. I'm in the UK. As it says I cocked up my Jumpstart after returning from vacation for two weeks. After researching on here to look for solutions and what to do, I have repaired the 100amp DC fusable link, Replaced blown fuses ( dome, eps and battery +) The inverter pump is pushing fluid around, I have 12.1 at battery and 13.7-8 in ready mode (battery now on charge) Seems to be running ok,hybrid system working and recharging system. Had codes read and cleared, left with C1310 and P0a09. Red triangle vsc abs and on display battery and hybrid lights on. So your thoughts please on what to do next, I am on a very limited budget, so diy solutions are my way forward.. Many many thanks for your anticipated response's......
Just tried again , battery at12.8, but all the same lights remain on. In ready mode 13.8 at the battery, and shows system charging on display. So would this mean the inverter is working ?
Yeah it drives ok, don't know the make of the scanner but it's one of these iPad size ones, went in to all the menus that I could see a friend of mine at the local autostore did it for me
if it drives fine, and charges properly (both batteries) and mpg's are okay, kind of a head scratcher.
I think it's a capable one, if he knew which ones to try , it can force open relays and the like, and do full system checks ...
Odometer reading? DTC C1310 is logged by the skid control ECU and points to a fault with the hybrid control system. DTC P0A09 is logged by the hybrid vehicle ECU and points to a DC/DC converter fault: "Open or GND short in NODD signal circuit of DC/DC converter". Either the NODD wire which connects the hybrid vehicle ECU to the inverter has a fault, or the inverter needs to be replaced. I suggest you subscribe to the Toyota Europe techinfo website so you can access the factory repair manual info which shows you how to find the NODD wire, measure continuity, and if that wire is OK then the inverter is recommended for replacement. Since you are measuring 13.8VDC when the Prius is READY, hopefully you do not need to replace the inverter. Good luck.
Patrick thank you for that info, Firstly do you believe I would be ok to drive short distance's without causing further damage ? Second I've downloaded a PDF of the wiring showing the NODD wire,am I correct in thinking this is under the inverter cover, and would require the HV battery to be disconnected to allow inspection. or is there a associated relay or connection prior to it I should try first . Thanks again...
Yes, you could drive the car without causing further damage if in fact the inverter is producing 13.8VDC on the 12V bus. Yes, you have to find the wiring harness connector at the inverter and good safety practice would include removing the traction battery interlock first.
While jump starting my toyota prius i mistakely reversed polarity and the dash board is not showing anything except the head lights are turned on and the signals too but the display is not poping up what should i need to check ??
