I live in NE Arizona 2.3 miles off the highway on a dirt/sand road the car is handling the conditions easily at present the monsoon season maybe different.
My Question is should I stay with the stock Toyota air filter or is there one that's better for the road conditions I have I am not keen on using a K+N as I have seen cars with MAF sensors have problems with oil getting on the sensor and causing issues.
    Thanks

I would think that you'd have to replace any filter more often in those conditions. I doubt a different one would make much difference.

Toyota has to design for desert conditions all over the world. I'd stick with them, buy several, and just check it regularly.
