Just a heads up for all you DIYer's out there. My least favorite but most visited store, Walmart, has reduced the prices on their synthetic oils significantly. I just picked up a 5 qt Mobil 1 full synthetic 0w-20 specifically touted for hybrids for $22.88. They seem to have dropped all of their oil prices. I'll be doing my first oil change on my prius this weekend. Also got an air filter, a cabin air filter with carbon, and three oil filters off of amazon for $27. Have a good fathers day weekend everyone.
Thanks for the heads up! Probably Walmart's way of saying Happy Father's Day. Wish they lowered the Annual Protection prices, but they're too smart for that I guess...
Mobil just ended a rebate cycle for their products at the end of May, $12 rebate back on 5 qt jugs. Mobil did this last spring, last fall, and this spring, i'd expect it to come back around again this fall. I picked up four 5 qt jugs of extended protection mobil on what i believe was a price mistake in march, 5qt jug for 15.88, was able to do the rebate for $12 on each (i believe its going though it says pending on the rebate site), so if that goes though I'll have gotten each 5qt jug for approx $5 with tax
rebate though mobil, but yes i picked up the 5qt jugs on what i believe was a price mistake (though it remained that price for appox 2 days) for $15.88
I hate wally-world, but made an exception to buy this oil Thursday. That pricing was better than any other local source by at least $10. Autozone's and Advance Auto were both $37. Needed two jugs because I was doing my Prius and my wife's '17 accord's first oil change.
Just an update on this, but I couldn't find the fluid local to do the transmission service this weekend. Went online to search and you guessed it, Wally world wins again. $6.85 a quart for the Genuine Toyota ATF WS.
