Just think what they could get if they tossed the turbocharged 3 cyl (and it still takes 16 seconds to get to 60? I must be mixing and matching models) and made it a Toyota style hybrid. Put in an even smaller Atkinson cycle gas engine. At under 2000 pounds, that 2 door sucker should be getting at LEAST 60 MPG if not 75 or more.

I'm not sure I would want people parking a 10' long vehicle perpendicular to the curb. Even a freakin H2 is less that 7 feet wide (mirrors excluded). Two of them parked on either side of the road I live on would not leave room for a bicycle to pass between. By the way, did you know that the Prius has the same rear leg room as an H2 and 0.6" MORE in front? :D

I saw a Toyota Scion version last night that looked pretty small. I would say it must be pretty close to the size of the Smart Car. I didn't know that Toyota made a Scion that small.

Doesn't Toyota's 600cc brand offer an hybrid in Japan, or was it just a concept?

Hopefully this will lead to other manufactors bringing their mini cars over here.

They are really nowhere near as tiny. The Smart cars make me (5'0" and, well, never mind how many pounds--just say--not TOO many, ok?) look HUGE.
