Prius and Prius Prime Steering Wheel Cover

I don't get it!? What's the point? Is this a steering wheel cover? If so, why?! The factory Prime Advanced steering wheel, as the British say, is lovely, comfortable and sized perfectly. The only thing that might change is creating a gap at 6 o'clock for those who like to hang their hands there on long trips. But this is not a deal breaker. Otherwise, if this is a steering wheel cover, it's a waste of money. And this is from a guy who put real leather steering wheel covers on all his Alfa Romeo plastic steering wheels.

Actually, it is not a steering wheel cover. It is a piece of horrible green or black plastic to cover up the white plastic that is under the steering wheel.

 

But don't wash your car just after installing !

See the instructions. Cut an paste - whatever sells.

If you have the adv then the steering wheel is heated. Can you cover that up and still have it work?

 

I would want to make it into a 4-spoke steering wheel, back to my 07 prius style. I find it easier to control.

If you make that part lime green, you might as well turn every toilet bowl in the car lime green!

 

I don't know why anyone would want to put an Alfa Romeo steering wheel into a Prius.

 

I actually need a steering wheel cover. The Prime steering wheel has a very thin outer layer, which is coming off where I rub it getting in. Toyota says there's nothing they will do about it.

 

I bought this, thinking I'd like it. I didn't after a while, vinyl wrapped it black...

 

Reviving this thread since my steering wheel of my 2017 Prime also is peeling all over -probably too much sun exposure. Any suggestions which steering wheel covers are the best fit? Thank you!
