Well I got the LG LX350 the other day and have been pleased with it so far. But I cannot get the send contacts to work with my 06. I was able to transfer contacts with my other BT phone (a920) and I can transfer between the two Sprint phones. The LG just won't recognize the Prius when trying to push the vCard.

Anyone have success with the LX350 and transferring contacts to an 06?

I tried the laptop method also and that won't recognize the 06 (covered in another topic).

I don't have much to mention on what I've been working on (I get my car back tomarrow, maybe? If you don't know why I keep saying that, check the DICE/iPod thread)

But this is the phone I'm expecting to work well in our cars. Very well in fact. Mostly just because of the fact that it's a Sanyo and they make the absolute best phones - but not the prettiest sadly. If it wasn't the fact that it's so low-end in features (No EVDO, older style software, etc) I'd be lined up to trade in my a900 with a big smile on my face.

It's in the system, and it should hit stores by the end of next month. There is not a final launch date yet, so don't hold yer breath.

    can't wait to try it.

Will it have OBEX? If so, will it be one contact at a time or the complete phone book in one transfer?

P.S. What happened to your car?

The internal papers have not been published yet.

Oh, my car is the test bed for the DICE iPod development. I've barely driven my car in 2 months :(

Hi. I'm new to the forum and have learned A LOT more regarding the Sprint Samsung a900 and BT on the Prius than reading BOTH manuals repeatedly. Thanks to all you knowledgeable people out there. :D However, after reading all the posts on this forum, I'm still having issues with the usage of my cell with the BT on my 06 Prius and it's very frustrating  since I've purposely purchased the a900 so that I can use it in the car. I've checked to make sure that my cell software is updated to ZB12. I've tried disabling and reconnecting the cell to the car. Under 'device info' the only supported profile listed is 'HFP' and I don't know how I can get 'OPP' added on. When an incoming call comes in, the MFD displays "upsupported call". So then I need to look at my phone for caller ID (which defeats the whole purpose of using the Handsfree option). Also, I've tried voice command on the car - I would try to dial by number, the car recognizes my command and the numbers I've spoken, then when I need to press the 'Talk' button to make the call, it doesn't connect to the phone, just switches back to the radio. Which means that I end up having to pick up the phone to make the call while driving. And since it doesn't show that the device supports OPP (OBEX) (even though my phone DOES show that it supports it under Settings > Bluetooth > Device Info) I can't upload my phone contacts. I hope I've included enough info for someone to help me troubleshoot this problem. My job requires that I drive often and use my cell often. I really wanted the handsfree option for safer traveling (it's gotten pretty bad lately with my constant phone usage and especially with trying to troubleshoot these problems I'm having). I'm grateful for any suggestions and answers anyone has. Thanks :)

You're not going to get caller ID to work; and the phone does not support full OBEX, it only supports file transfer and vCard. That's the issue.

Thanks for the tip. Really looking more for which one to go with based on features / problems / experience at this point - price searching fun starts then!

Look for Vagabond's postings. He is the PriusChat resident Sprint expert. He has discussed most, if not all, Sprint's Bluetooth's offerings.

Last week I got the New LG - LX550 (Fusic) phone. Works great right out of the box. Bluetooth sounds good, I don't have any numbers programmed yet other than my wifes, but it did transfer the one I had with no problem.

The other awsome feature is the phone has an MPEG player built in, which transmitts to an FM station. No special hook ups, and it comes thru in sterio sound.

It only came with a 64mb micro SD card, which holds about 15 songs, but I have a 1 GB on order from amazon for about $44. This should allow me to put the majority of my music on it and allow me to have hours and hours of music with no commercials

So far I have been very pleased with the way the phone works with my 04!

Also, the past few three tanks I have been getting 57 mpg. My commute into work is about 50 minutes each way, which Im sure helps. With local construction underway as well, it hasn't been wide open racing to work.

Does the MFD display the signal and battery meter when paired with the Fusic?

i have the lg pm 325, works great but for some unintelligibility to caller's voice over the prius speaker. could be the speaker.
ordered the a900, but after reading this thread, i am beset with trepidation.
maybe the new lg phone would be better. i only ordered the 900 because it is free w/my new contract.
it's all miraculous, nonetheless. i just want it to be "perfectly" miraculous.
or maybe this new sanyo phone which appears not to be available is the answer.

    what was the question? :)

    No,

I also found a few minor items to share.

The phone has a great feature to transmit the MP3 player to your audio system via a FM signal. This feature works great! When a call comes in, the audio turns off just like the radio and you have the option to pickup.

The one item I found is that if you try to dial while the phone is playing MP3 or if you have left the phone in an "application running" state, playing a game etc. The phone will not pickup and dial until you stop the application.

Not a big deal, but thought I would share.

Like most of the other posts, I can only send contacts one at a time, but they get in the system. Also if you have more than one phone number listed, only one will transmit.

Other than those items, I have been very pleased with the sound and function paired with the Prius.
