Good to join in the excitement! I just picked up my new Prius in Reno (they were WAY faster than any in the Bay Area) and I love it. On the drive back to SF from Reno yesterday I averaged 50.5 mpg going freeway speeds over about 130 miles. I guess that probably is a result of the net loss of 4500ft in elevation (but includes the climb through Donner pass at 7000'. I was psyched. Today I did a long (50 mile) ride through the bay area for errands on and off freeway and through SF and got 51.5 mpg. I'm loving this car and I think it will significantly improve my wife's commute.
