we had ordered a prime and were resigned to our 6 month wait, when low and behold a Prius prime showed up on auto trader in Oklahoma City. Needless to say my hubby didn't want to wait for his order and we took the short road trip from Tulsa the very next day. It was even in his preferred color of the magnetic gray (although I tried to talk him into the titanium glow ). Getting it tinted tomorrow and hubs is reading the gargantuan manual with glee as he figures out all the bells and whistles. It is making me want to trade in my Camry hybrid in a couple more years

I'm just curious... when did you place the order? And it was when you ordered it that "they" said SIX months? OUCH! I probably wouldn't wait either... especially if one showing up within, say, 200 miles or so of Lafayette, was my VERY much preferred color of Blue Mag with the Moonstone interior! We ordered our "Premium" on the 1st of May, and although it does NOT look good right now, I'd simply LOVE to have it in time for my 1750-ish mile road trip (to view the total solar eclipse in SC with an old high school buddy who lives in NC) starting the 18th of August....
We ordered mid April and were told six months. We had also ordered the premium, but the one we ended up with was an advanced and honestly I am glad it happened that way because I knew my hubby would like the extras and he absolutely is in love with it. Now we are just waiting on our house to be finished and will have a charger built into the garage. We just got it tinted today with ceramic tint and oh man what a difference it makes both on the interior and the look
We know of at least one other prime in Oklahoma but haven't seen it, but our state is pretty bass awkwards so I don't see there being very many here so we feel special
