Still No Sightings in the Wild

    I've now owned my Prime for about a month now and have driven nearly 2,000 miles without a single Prime sighting in the wild. It's not like I drive in an isolated area. My commute is about 75 miles each way on relatively congested Northern Virginia (Washington, DC area) roads. Anybody have a rare Prime sighting in the wild. Be vewy vewy quiet; we're huntin' Primes.

    I've only seen two in the wild, a grey one on a trip though western North Carolina and a white one on I95 south in northern Florida.

    Not too many in the southeast I suppose...

    We are "mid" Virginia - between Charlottesville and Richmond - and have seen one other prime.

    That could have been me. We are at UVA frequently. We either charge in the Bookstore garage where there is one on the 2nd level or at the Hyatt Place hotel where there are several units and a few Tesla units.

    I am beginning to think I am the only real person in the country with a Prime. The rest of you are "fake" Prime want-a-be owners just pretending.

    Zero, zip, nada. Have not seen one in 5 months. I did see a RAV4 EV when I was at the dealer for a flat a few months ago...

    I have seen 1 other. I have a friend that is also my sales guy. The dealership ordered it for a guy that lives in St Louis. In St Louis they told him that it would be 6 months and unsure if they could even get one. That's 2 Primes from a little dealership in Central Illinois. lol

    I drove to Boston and back this weekend and didn't notice any Primes, though I was engrossed in conversation most of the time. Today driving through Wyckoff NJ I saw a white one when not expecting it. It's only the second one I've seen since January. I did see tons of Gen 3s in the Boston area, though.

    I actually saw one just a few hours after I bought my Prime, on the drive home from ME to TX. Not sure where it was, I think it was somewhere in MA. Haven't seen any other one since (it's only been 2 days since I started paying attention though :p)

    Can't help you much with what you want to know, 'cause here in SoCal, you see them quite a bit (even the Mirai and the Clarity)...

    There is one flitting about my area. I see it every few weeks. The nearby Toyota dealer sold it but they don't think they'll be able to sell more because (according to the sales people I've talked to) Southeast Toyota won't even let them order Primes. I have no idea what their problem is.

    I heard from my dealer that they will only take cash orders for Prime's. They also said one person ordered one in March and may get it by September. That's crazy.

    I have yet to see any Primes here in coastal SC, but there will be one soon driving those roads. :) They called me yesterday to upsell the paint protection thing...

    And dealers apparently can special order them, mine did, and and I think they'd have gone through SE Toyota.
