Option 3: buy a new traction battery from a Toyota dealer.
Option 4: buy a used G3 battery and swap all 28 modules into your battery case.

Hi Patrick, Toyota dealer price over 3000 but not selling to individual, they installed total over $4000. I forgot exact number but not worth it to spend that much for 176K miles. I google around, I can not find a junkyard to pick up a used G3 or G2.. they are all selling over $1000. Joseph

It cost me around $3400 at Longo Toyota last year. At that time, my car already had over 250K miles. I think it is worth it if your car is in good condition and you plan to keep it for a while.

I would only advise against this because if your car gets totalled, the insurance company will pay you $2000, even though you've invested far more into your car.
