Congratulations! I became an owner in April this year, and I agree, it really DOES feel good! I know you'll enjoy it.

Congrats!! Just picked up mine yesterday, so know how you feel!! Welcome to the group...and it IS a great group. I've been lurking here for 6 months since I ordered the car & was really impressed with all of the comraderie and good info exchanged here.

We have all been bitten a bit by it. SMUGNESS. We implore you to control your urges to point your nose up to the sky and things like that. It will be hard at first but we are sure you can do it. Good luck
Congrats Sasuke and JoJo, I too love my car and the group. By the way, when you find yourself just wanting to go out and take a drive at any hour because the car is sooo cool and fun to drive...just do it! I bought mine early in February and I still take it out for a cruise now and then.
Thanks, Gilahiker! I started thinking about buying this car since 1997 when Toyota started producing Prius in Japan. I took the test drive in 2001. Finally..., but I did not know until last week... I started thinking seriously about getting one when I found out about Hybrid car tax credit.
I get mine in two days <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Sasuke @ Jun 27 2006, 06:26 PM) </div>
Hi Rancid13, how did you get your best mileage as 48? I am trying to get 47 in town driving now. (This is my 5th day from the delivery...about 140 miles in total.)
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Sasuke @ Jun 28 2006, 08:52 PM) </div> So is mine! I added grey leather seats for her - she grins a lot.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Jeannie @ Jun 29 2006, 01:59 PM) </div> Wow, that is nice!
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Sasuke @ Jun 29 2006, 01:57 PM) </div> My average mileage is now 48.0, thanks to several 49 and 51 mpg tanks. Here's a link to the breakdown of my tank mileage: http://www.greenhybrid.com/compare/mileage/car/2107.html I do mostly city/suburban driving to and from work, and minimal freeway driving (except when traffic is going 20-40mph so I can maximize my mileage). I tend to try to stick to roads around town that have 35 or 40 mph speed limits so I can maximize driving on electric-only. On my first tank I got a little over 46 mpg so you're starting out pretty good so far!
