After I reset my ODO avg MPG, it worked normal for a while. However after I charged my car and started dring in EV model. Avg MPG went back to 199.9 again. It didn't calculate with the previous AVG just used EV mode avg. There is something wrong with the software.

When I started my car this miring, it eastimed 29 miles EV mode. I ended up with 28 EV miles. I guessed EV mileage will suffer if you drove at a higher freeway speed. I didn't say that I drove above the LA freeway speed limit. ;);):):)

first half of the trip done, mostly as expected in HV, going WAY faster than usual, in LA area CC ~78, in the central valley 84+, display reads 51.5mpg so far, much better than my Gen3 which would have been low 40s at best (done this trip at these speeds multiple times).
Interesting was the drive down the grapevine, a 5+ miles 6% downgrade, had it in EV with CC at 67 (saw 3 cops on that stretch), EV range went from ~23 to 34 ... played for a little while with charge mode, can report real numbers other than it seems to do a good job, mileage is messed up anyway so i really didn't care.
As expected no charging opportunity at convenient places so will be using charge mode a bit more while on fwy so i can ev thru town.
Overall handling and high speeds quite impressive and so much better than Gen3, but we knew that already :)

Yeah, that i5 downgrade to Grapevine is a blast; I've had my Prii at 105 going down the grade; lucky no cops! Get lots of charging miles that way! Of course that can't touch my record on the flat, after Grapevine; I was minding my own business doing about 70mph in my Type R, when a Capri (yeah, I know, they're now extinct!) goes by me like I'm standing still! Well, he's off in the distance about 3/4 mile, and no cops after him. So I start to wonder, can I catch him?? Now you who know not the Acura Integra Type R must realize that the car's redline is just this side of 9,000 rpm, and cruises at 3500 rpm at 60-65mph. It's also a screamingly loud car. I popped the puppy in 4th and let her rip!! About 2 miles or so later I passed the Capri at 147mph! That was fun!!. Ok, safety stalwarts, clear, sunny, almost no traffic, the road is straight and flat. My car had the Pole Position Bridgestone racing tires, and could stop from 60mph in 112ft. Oh, when it hit 100,000 miles, I sold it to a cop!!

Does Prime EV milage have memory? For the last two charges it started with 28 and 29 estimate miles? This morning it started with 30.2 estimate miles.

I don't know the formula (i assume there is one) but am positive that it is somewhat based on your multiple day history, especially your miles/kwh that you can look up on the mfd - that is based on my observation. look it up and see if those values have gone up the last few days ...

it's based on the speed you are traveling, ambient temperature, battery health. (chime in if you got more) all of that is averaged over time.

If you multiply your miles/kWh (on the mfd) by 6.28 (my calculated estimate of charge to full) you will get your daily EV miles. I.E. 5.5*6.28=34.54 EV miles.

Could this have something to do with having the AC on or off? Mine will do that if I turn it off. It will jump up a bit in range.

I leave my setting alone. I left my charger on till it turned itself off. Not sure if that makes any difference?

After I used all the EV power, car moved into HV mode. I drove enough to regenerate 1.2 EV miles. Car was still in HV mode. I am almost at my charging station. Do I need to push the EV to shift back into EV mode to use that 1.2 EV miles?

I see numerous postings saying that their charge exceeds 30 miles, some up to 40 but all I've been able to get is 28.3 and that's not consistent. I've had the car for 2 months now and it did go from 22 up to the 28. How long will the rate keep improving? The good news is that I can just about get to work on the battery and am still running on the original dealer gasoline fillup.

Currently I'm getting 27.3 miles EV because I'm on vacation and I take off at 70 MPH, that's bound to affect mileage

Joined the "40 mile" club today ........ it's been 1246 miles since the last time the ICE fired up; Still a full "Dealer Tank". The car has only experienced 4 warm-up cycles since I picked it up in January. Now that I have pushed the limits on what the EV can do, I believe it's time to switch over to HV mode for awhile and "properly break-in" the ICE. Now, let's see what type of MPG's this car is capable of! 40 Miles.JPG

Nice miles/kwh numbers there... you must do a lot more city/rush hour driving than faster freeway driving. Unfortunately, using EV for longer traffic-free freeway driving lowers those numbers quite a bit, even when keeping it under 65 (I'm seeing 4.6 - 4.7 for maybe 25% rush hour/city and 75% faster freeway). Unfortunately most of my drives are about 50+ miles each way freeway, and about 3/4ths of the time, is outside of rush hour. For those rush hour drives the numbers improve of course, but I haven't found a magic solution for improving those numbers while driving 62-65 on the freeway...

Actually, the opposite, i hardly do city and almost no rush hour as i have the "luxury" to chose my working hours that i can avoid stop/go traffic ... I've described my commute here My EV range story and clearly i have the advantage of a downhill commute into work but also go home every day the other direction :):)

"40-mile club" meaning … 40 miles on a charge, or...?

You've got me beat there, although perhaps not by a whole lot: We picked up ours from the dealer on 5/17, and we just crossed the 1000-mile mark (about 1013ish now).

Unfortunately, couldn't charge at the grocery store again today, so we had to use about 8ish miles of gas (probably could have gotten away with half that, in hindsight).

The dealer-supplied full tank is probably at about 78% or so.

I have a ~39mile round trip to and from work most weekdays (charge at home and work), so looks like I'm racking up the miles a bit faster than you. Oh well...

I have a 16 mile round trip to work. I've been testing different things on my trips. If i charge every other day i have to go 3-4 mile on the ICE twice a week mainly because of the AC in the afternoon. I figure if i continue this i will go through a gallon of gas about every 7 weeks which I'm okay with because i get $2 in free gas about every 6 weeks through work (gas here is $2.01). I also will get better as i get use to the car so that will help.
