Is there a national ranking for ECO drive and EV miles?

For Advanced trim model owners, yes for the ECO driving score and monthly gas mileage. You can't see the EV miles. You can view and be viewed on the Entune app with other Advanced trim model owners.

You can update your "entune" user name from the default "Prius Prime####" to your "PRIUSchat" profile name. Just log-in to "myentune", go to the "Prius Prime Apps" tab. This might be helpful when having these discussions to be able to look at the ECO Dashboard to compare driving results. Also, while you're on that page, check your "Expiry Date"; they shorted me out of three months (they corrected the problem).

It's all good. I can't economically justify myself to upgrade from Premium trim to Advanced trim. Even my daughters offered to pay the difference. Haha.

You won't regret it; unlike documentation fees, etching, door edge moulding, and extended warranties, it's worth the extra moolah! And, you don't buy a new car every day!!

Just give them a call.... they were very good about looking into the problem. It took them some time to research and resolve it, but they should be able to get it done before your contract expires (har. har!)

I really like a Hydrogen car but Toyota Mirai is too expensive for now also very few hydrogen charge stations in Ca. Due to my long daily commute I have to get plug-in hybrid. So next car a hydrogen car.

Also, I checked, and a full tank of hydrogen will run you around $60 for a real 250 miles of range. For me, it's back to range anxiety, worse than all-electric.
And, the hydrogen is currently generated from fossil fuels! I was interested if you could generate it at home using electrolysis and some serious compressor!. Not gonna happen in my lifetime!

Yeah, I don't follow how that number is calculated either. I saw it peg at 199.99 for a day it's so, while I continued to drive on EV, and then when I burned a little gas to go to the mall down south, I *think* I saw it immediately started dropping.

I had imagined that somewhere in its computer model it knows the actual, unsaturated MPG number, and then saturates it to 199.9 in the car and to 999.9 in the app. However, if indeed I did see it start going down immediately upon consuming a little gas, then it seems it may not have the actual number tucked away somewhere, and instead actually believes the 199.9 number.

I am glad that I am not the only one saw that. My guess is that is some bug in the computer that when you drive in EV mode EV screen will show 199.9 MPG. Somehow that number got stuck and when I pressed to ODO display that 199.9 showed up. It didn't calculate the right MPG after you drive in HV mode burned some gas it started to calculate down. However still not using the right data.

No bug. That's intentional, as was the decision to which particular value max should be.

Hey Mr. Gloin, don't forget my motel trick: ask manager if ok to plug in Prime in an outdoor 110V outlet that many motels or hotels have. It worked out about 2/3 of time for our 2012 PIP when my wife and I would travel.

    .

It's the stop/start that kills my mileage; I've managed to avoid stopping completely on the most recent pilgrimages to LA, and even with A/C on, I have managed to really improve my mileage range that way: up to 38.8 EV-only miles. . Also, stay away from hills; hills kill!! (mileage of course )

What's your AC temperature setting ? I set mine @75 F works fine for me and the front passenger, however for passanger in the back it's not cold enough or not enough cold air to reach the back.

agreed on the stop/go ... also on the hills, unfortunately to avoid them i would have to move ... yesterday after charging at work my EV range was up slightly at 41.3, regular commute helps (for me)

Hi Arc! It's set to 72; I like it colder than most. I have no passengers, so I have settings adjusted to block cooling to rear of car. I turn off Eco on cooling.
Otherwise, A/C on Automatic, when it's on at all.
