2017 Prius Prime Color Choice

In that light it almost looks like my Silver.

 

Yes, 'chameleon skin' would have been a better description than snake skin. Some days she's silver, some days pink, and some days tannish cream.

 

I got myself the dark grey color. I really liked the blue, but for some reason it didn't match me. When I sat in it, my wife said 'Its a great color, but its just not you.' So the next day they got me the grey which I had on my previous Corolla.

I went with red/moonglow. I've had other red cars and loved them. I'm used to lighter color interiors and the dark one felt too dark to me. I don't have a photo but the ones online are pretty accurate for the red.

 

I bought the Blizzard White with black interior. It's quicker than all the other colors and charges much quicker than any of the other colors

 

I got the pearl color to match the white stormtrooper insert on the steering wheel and shift console! Rather pay the freight for the special paint color than to pay for black plastic bezels to cover interior trim . . . I liked the moonstone interior very much, but some concern with discoloration of white seats over time prompted a black interior.

I installed a rebuilt traction battery in my green 2006 with 250k last weekend (retired to the kids for its second life), and expect to have my new Prius for a while.

I love the titanium, blue, and red colors, and salute other Prime drivers I see (quite a few in MA) like an Alfisti.

 

In fairness, No i haven't seen it in person. For some reason, a blue one was very hard to find when I was shopping.

 

I was about to buy a regular Prius. Found a loaded Four in dark grey. Didn't realize the Prime was out yet.

Went home that night to do a little research. I was supposed to pick up the Prius four the next day. Made some calls in the morning and found one Prime in Austin. It was an Advanced in Blizzard Pearl with Moonstone.

I drove to that dealership and bought it while some other guy was test driving it (did not test drive that Prime or any other Prime before I bought it). So... I got blizzard pearl because it was the color of the only Prime in town.

 

I ordered the Blue Magnetism with moonstone interior. My current Prius is silver and the car before that was white -- I just wanted a real color, and blue magnetism looked okay.

It's too hot where I live to go with a dark interior.

I really would have liked a green of some kind, but Prii aren't exactly known for their color choices!

First car - black. Second car, flame-orange. Third car, silver. Fourth car, black. Fifth car (2004 Prius), silver. 4 of 5 were shades of gray. I wanted a car that wasn't a shade of gray and 4 of the 6 colors available in the Prime are shades of gray (Pearl, Titanium, Silver, Gray). The other two are red and blue, my wife hates red and blue is my favorite color. There you go!

 

Color is such a personal thing for so many reasons. I wanted black. I'm super picky about blues and reds, neither were the right shade for me. I currently have a silver car, I wasn't fond of the titanium, I don't do white, so I settled on the magnetic grey which I had on my 2008 Prius. It's an OK color for another 9 years for me.

I have a blue '16 prius. I was told the prime blue was teal. I have not seen a blue prime yet. There for, I ordered the red prime when they first came out. Mine came May 8th. My '16 is averaging 46 mpg. I have 1000 miles on my prime and averaging over 87 mpg.

That's a NICE "effect"... the Titanium Glow with the tinted windows! Just curious... does getting the windows tinted help very much to reduce the glare on the display screen/s? That's one thing I really DIS-like about our '08... a LOT of the time, the sun or even just "general" daylight on a sunny day makes the screen almost impossible to see!

 

We "special ordered" the Blue Magnetism / Moonstone combo on the 1st of May... my current Prius is also silver... and the wife recently bought a white, 2013 (GASP!) Buick LaCrosse! Maybe if we're REALLY lucky, we'll get our Prime / Premium by (gasp AGAIN!) mid August. I'd LOVE to have it in time for the roughly 1,800 miles I'd be putting on it during a planned roar trip toward the end of August.

 

My dealer finally says it will be in in late June, which is pretty close to when they first said it would be. I ordered it in the first week of March if I remember correctly. (all my stuff is at home)

 

Chose the magnetic gray with black interior. It hides dirt reasonably well both in and out. The black interior on Advanced has some luxury feel to it.

I'm a bit shy and introverted, so the Gray suits me. Nobody notices it as much as a bright Blue or Red. The gray is a bit stealthier when you want to appear and disappear unannounced.

Last prius was a 2009 blue bought used , first was green.
