I consider myself completely swimming in the deep end of the 2017 Prius buyer's "pool". However having put pen to paper I'm now leaning towards the Prime considering that with the $4,500 tax credit, it's seems possible that a Prime Advanced could possibly cost the same to almost $1,000 less than a Prius Four Touring (add-ons excluded for each car), and this assumes 10% off MSRP for the Prius 4T and MSRP for the Prime. But here's my problem.....I need to physically see the trunk space of the Prime. My 12yo plays ice hockey, and I can't bring a car home if his equipment bag doesn't fit in the trunk. The Prius' trunkspace IMO is huge, but the raised trunk floor of the Prime is causing me some concern. I've been searching dealer inventory but I can't find any dealer local to me (north Chicago suburbs, 60061) that has a Prime in stock. Anyone have any ideas on how to more efficiently search areawide dealer inventory ?
Maybe an owner local to you posts here and you could check out that person's car trunk for fit!. It sounds like there should be some... .
Depends on how big the equipment bag is. I have put 2 golf bags in the back of my Prime. Putting the back seats down, it looks like I could fit at least 5 or 6, albeit with only 2 people.
Ha...!!! Sorry guys.....I should have been more specific. I live in Vernon Hills, IL. Around 25 miles north of Chicago and say 15-20 miles from the IL/WI border.....
