After driving trucks and vans and suv's for so many years, anything over 20 mpg is great. I don't even feel a need to check the gas mileage in the Prius. My family says, "who cares!" Add gas to the tank once a month and go go go. This spaceship is beautiful.

Same here with the gas hogs. This car is amazing and I should've been buying these this whole time.

My son is on his second Prius. His first car was a new 2005 Prius. Shortly after that he started his hobby as a small dog breeder, traveling to dog shows. Other than normal maintenance and preventive replacement of the 12 volt battery, he only had to replace his HID headlight bulbs once.
He upgraded to a 2015 Prius v (station wagon) to have more space when traveling with his dogs.

That's great to hear. I like stories of reliability. My family still has two large gas-gulping vehicles. They are needed for work and various projects. Everybody needs a pickup truck at times. We use the Prius for everything else, such as errand running, going to college, sight-seeing day trips. It's a fight to see who gets to drive it.

Thanks Prodigyplace and ePWR. That's some great mileage for Central VA, Prodigyplace. Where I am in Ohio is really flat, so I feel like I'm cheating.

Cheating? Nah, just taking best advantage from the geographical area. By the way, none of of us is the least bit jealous of your achievements. ;)

I only need add that I had a Prius Two Trim model 2010 during 90,000 miles – without problems – and in the moment to fill the gas thank the computer show a range of 465 miles. I filled the gas on a weekly routine. Now with my Prius two Eco model 2016 the computer show me a range of 660 miles, so I changed my routine for fill the gas tank to a bi-weekly!!! Finally I noticed that nobody comment this extraordinary and remarkable profile of the new Prius two Eco model. By the way, I got easily a 63.5 mpg on a normal use of the car. This car it’s the living proof of the legendary japanese quality of Toyota…

And you can get is for less money with a rear wiper & spare tire. The 2017 add TSS-P safety features and the new 2017.5 adds more safety features.
I have been very pleased with my 2017 purchased in October.

I got 505 miles on my first tank of gas. It took 9.5 gallons to fill it up. I'm pretty impressed!

With 10,000 miles on my 4 touring it's time to report back. I've settled in to 49.4 mpg lifetime average, and many trips are now 55 mpg or more. Most of my driving is big hills or mountains. This is 5 mpg better than my 2010 and it's a touring, with the bigger tires and all the other 'stuff'. I am impressed.

After 103 fill ups, I have saved around $2060 in gas over what I would have spent with my old 26 MPG ride.

What's more, figuring an average of 6 minutes of leisure time lost every time I stop for gas, my Prius also saved me about 10 hours of forced labor.

    I am impressed.

Same here. Have been driving trucks and gas guzzlers for many years. Although I sacrifice a little bit of power and some respect on the roads, I smile all the way to the pump and to the bank every time I have to fill up. My last truck gave me 14 mpg on the same roads. My prius gives me over 53 mpg, almost 4 times :)

Yesterday was my second fill up after I had my car. I hand calculated it to be over 53.5 mpg (I don't have the exact number). The display showed 55.1 mpg. My driving is mainly on city roads to and from work on extreme-traffic, red-light heavy roads. I have learned the pulse and glide technique to work quite well. On highways between 55-65 mpg is ideal for max mpg.

The temperature has risen recently and I've got my best tank ever. AC has used on every trip too. Dashboard shows 74.7 mpg UK ( 62.3 mpg US) - I filled up a few miles after the low fuel light came on and the actual mpg comes out as 70.3 mpg UK (58.6 mpg US) The dashboard is 5.9% optimistic for this tank.

Given a 43 litre tank and another 7 litres left at the time I filled up, then I would have in theory been able to drive another 105 miles until the tank was completely dry. That would give a range of 662 miles. 1497515337161.png

Downhill run from Mariposa to the valley, and the Bay Area. To be fair, this tank averaged 58 mpg. Yeah summertime! IMG_1578.JPG

I'm getting 48.8 at the moment in mostly LA traffic with 3800 on the odometer. I must have a lead foot.

^^^ Yeah people in the LA area are speedsters. I wouldn't be surprised. But, you would think that with all that stop and go traffic you'd be able to do all EV miles.
