Battery discharges while parked all day at work (2014 Prius)

    normal. how many bars? it's just the surface charge wearing off, recorded by the computer and reported to the dash icon.

    2 and they were pink. It was alarming. :eek:

    no worries. the two that disappeared were pink, or the two left?

    The 2 that were left. I've been able to charge it up fairly quickly with normal driving. I just thought there'd be a time when I won't be able to start it. I appreciate your responses.

    it will never drop below two bars, but it will at times go to full bars. but these charge icons don't actually represent battery capacity. toyota has programmed the car so that the battery is never full and never empty. so the battery capacity is actually larger than needed or can be used, and this increases longevity.

    Just don't go through an automated car wash with two bars left and then put it in neutral. After that, you hang it up. It would have to be tolled to a Toyota dealer to be put on a grid charger.

    Thats crazy. DVD says keyless fob can interfere with Mom's pacemaker. Lots to remember. Thanks

    If you use a sun visor in your window make sure that you're not occasionally turning on one of the map reading lights overhead has happened to me twice
